I had them out 12/17 I was told arrival time would be between 12 and 3. Pleasantly surprised he was here at noon! I realize it was only for a pilot light on the fireplace, but he was in and out in 10 minutes. Very pleasant and professional. Would definitely use them again.

We have used Comfort by Design for 4 projects over the past 3 years since moving to our residence here. We have found them to be knowledgeable, reliable, capable and competitively priced. Communication is always excellent, and the work is always done professionally. Given our excellent history with them, we expect that Comfort by Design will be our "go-to" contractor for future heating & cooling needs.

I have have been very happy with the services that I have gotten done thru Comfort By Design. They have installed many of my appliances and keep great records on all the things that they install. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very mis-leading! I called for a Freon charge and forced to take the spring tune-up at $125. Came out with no Freon and did nothing except to tell me that could not charge me without finding a leak and recommend a new system. My leak was over 3 years and system still worked well. Should have told me on the phone they would not charge without finding a leak as I did not need a spring tune-up!

Excellent efficient on-site service for our gas fireplace. Although 18 years old, it now runs better than it ever has! Very pleased with the service!

Exceeded our expectations with Professionalism, teamwork, quality work, on time, and at a fair price. Maybe you will pay more, but this company is worth it. 5 starts for our Tech.... Looked over the fireplace did the maintenance required. Fireplace works Great ! Would hire this company again! Maybe even buy a new insert from them at the MN State Fair!

My family has used this company in the past for our fireplace, so when we seemed to have issues with the gas fireplace again, we called this company. The technician that came out was very nice and cleaned up the fireplace, but could find nothing really wrong. The experience we were having is that the fire didn't seem to stay where it was supposed to, rather it shot towards the battery box, which was concerning. It would also turn off by itself, also concerning. My husband asked him about a gas leak but he told us he found none. The fireplace seemed to work for a day or two and then went back to having the same issue. We called and requested the same technician come out. This time he found a gas leak. He told us it would take a week or so to order parts and then he could come back to fix the issue. About a week later he came back out and we thought he'd fixed the problem. This time the fireplace worked for a few weeks and then suddenly one day it wouldn't turn on. We checked all the batteries and unfortunately nothing worked. At this point we were pretty frustrated. We've had someone come out 3 different times and spent money - not just on product but labor as well. My husband called this past Tuesday and asked to speak to someone in charge. The receptionist told him she would have someone call him back. Tuesday came and went, no call. He called again on Wednesday and was told that the owner was out on calls but she would pass along my husband's message. Still nothing. At this point we feel like this company doesn't care AT ALL about the fact that we've spent this money, have had someone out 3 times, and still we are no closer to having our fireplace fixed. And apparently this company thinks their time is way too important to make a simple call back. I would NOT recommend this company and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. To take someone's money and leave their fireplace in nearly the same condition as when it started is criminal. And obviously this company doesn't care about their customers at all, because they can't be bothered to make a simple phone call to try to fix the situation. We'll be contacting our bank to report the issue and get our money back, and we'll give our business to a different company that actually cares about their customers.

Everything from start to finish was a pleasure. I first looked at the showroom for my fireplace. I was amazed at the selection that was offered. The salesman didn’t try to force me into a particular fireplace but rather explained the difference in them and I chose one to fit my needs. The technicians that installed the fireplace were knowledgeable and very professional and showed me how to use my new fireplace with the heat settings, blower, remote, etc. Also had this company install a garage heater with the same great service. What an outstanding company.
