I can not say enough good things about this company... after the freeze of 2021 when our house flooded and the kitchen had cabinets falling out i went on a hunt for the perfect company to work with to help us get it back together. Inez was our first contact with craft kitchen. She was so incredible from the start. She came over and we showed her where we were in the process of getting our house back together. We went over what we were looking for and she helped guide us to getting our dream kitchen. She even came out when insurance came to look to help us get what we needed. We were in constant contact while waiting for approval from insurance. Inez was always at a quick reach and able to answer any of the crazy questions.
Now once everything got started we met and spoke with Frank and he was so precise with everything measurement wise to answer questions as well.
Once demo happened, it wasn't but a few days before cabinets started being put in. Thomas with a few others were the go to guys during that time. Let me just say every single person who walked through our door who worked with crafted kitchens were so professional and amazingly nice. It was like having buddies in your home working on your kitchen. Every day they left the area they worked on was cleaner than when they got there. When they said they were gonna be there, there were always a few mins early. They said something was gonna happen this day, it almost every time happened a little earlier. The smallest of details that most companies don't care about were put in to our new kitchen. I will be using them again for so much more in our home. We want to slowly remodel everything and I won't evey use anyone else. I seriously can not recommend a better company to work with. I also really enjoyed that it's a family business so you get to meet them all. Thank you to all that worked on our kitchen.
Before the ugly kitchen to our beautiful kitchen. We are still trying to decide on our backsplash that's all that's left but wanted to share.

They may have improved, but seemed overwhelmed post Harvey. They didn't really monitor subs and had some serious quality issues. Ended up hiring someone else to finish up. Likely they took on too many jobs post flood, and customers paid the price. Some ridiculously sloppy work was done. Dry wall was bad, paint was terrible, any carpentry was poor, and exterior work was borderline negligent. I expect they'll respond saying they do all work in house.... nope, all those fancy canopy vans on the website were nowhere to be found!

Canopy went above and beyond with our kitchen remodeling. They walked with us from start to finish. The design of the kitchen was excellent and above our expectations.
The cabinets look great and are built to last. We even made some last minute changes to a cabinet that was surprisingly changed without any challenges for us and the company.
When you use Canopy Unlimited, you are hiring a trustworthy family business.

Very disappointed with this company. We planned a small project for a study room shelves installation. We did made lots of changes back and forth but still, they should not just cancel it. Probably communicate with us first with the problem, explained why we were turn down. It is disappointing, to received and email, stating they will cancel the contract. We waited a whole month. We were being patient with this company. I Don’t think I will recommend them.

Hello Pebie, I am sorry you feel this way but we have been actively working with you all month designing and rendering your project and making changes up until last week. You changed your mind on the design of the cabinets, added painting, declined our bid, and then wanted to barter painting in exchange for less cabinets. We had an allocated schedule time and simply requested to return your deposit until all details were completed and a new schedule date was picked out. We really wanted for this to work out and unfortunately could not not up with a final design.

Hired them to do a full remodel my masterbath. By far the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor.

I am sorry you feel this way but we went above and beyond to try and exceed your expectations from day one. From completely redoing your shower on a one day notice because you did not like the travertine you purchased to doing almost $2,000 worth of complimentary line itemized change orders, it really felt like an uphill battle on a daily basis. We were never allowed to complete our project and a request to meet with your husband months beforehand went unanswered until he decided to intervene with an endless punchlist a week prior to us deeming your project complete. The real testament to our hard work was apparent when you voluntarily had a check prepared which was 90% of our balance. If we were such a horrible experience, why did you prematurely pay our balance when it was never requested? We both know it was because we tirelessly tried day upon day to meet your requests to the extent that you knew we exceeded your expectations. It is such a shame that you would give us a 1 star when our team went above and beyond and was not given a fair chance to complete our project and also absorbed a balance of over $3,000 as a sign of good faith. Either way, we left your project on a positive note and will post pictures of before and after of what we built.

This was the absolute worst company to work with, we had to rebuild after a flood badly damaged our house so it was a complete rebuild of the first floor. When I was sold the job I was told things were included, which I ended up being charged extra for, and when I brought it up they just said "sorry, that's the way it is". Project was completed 2 months late, weeks would go by with no work being done, and when I asked about it the owner went off on me threatening to leave the job. The work was shoddy, to the point that one of the foreman apologized to me. They left a giant spot on the ceiling that wasn't the same white as the rest of the ceiling and when I asked them to repaint the whole ceiling to match they refused. This company is incompetent, the owner was never on site, he didn't inspect his subcontractors work, which as a general is essentially what you are getting paid for. Would not recommend for any job.

I met Frank and Inez Lujan shortly after hurricane Harvey hit Houston. I called Frank the day after my house got flooded - he came out to give me a bid the next day although his own house was still under water. I knew right away that this is a company that I can trust.
Throughout the journey of my house restoration and renovation, Frank, Inez, and their crew have been communicative, respectful and trustworthy - which are very important to me as I allowed them to come to my empty house day in and day out. They helped me rebuild my house to be beyond what I ever expected. Their quality of work (especially the cabinets) is superb!!
I would recommend this company to anyone who needs renovation work in their house!!

Bought home from these people and first day we moved in found a massive water leak in the garage apartment they remodeled. Attempted to contact them via email and phone and they didn’t answer just to see if they stood by their work. Very unprofessional and wouldn’t trust them with your home. What is amusing is that they have our home’s pictures plastered all over their page, but don’t take responsibility for the faults they created in it. The location of the leak was previously patched as well, which means they had had a problem in the area.

As I mentioned in the other negative review you posted on Google, we have never met, you have never hired or paid Canopy Unlimited to do work on your behalf. You recently closed on an investment property owned by our parent company that was sold as-is with no guarantees. A 3rd party inspection and appraisal was provided prior to performing your own inspection and appraisal. I do not understand why you mention that we are unprofessional if you have never had a single interaction with anyone from our company. We have many years of being in business with many happy clients and we are sorry you feel this way without giving us the opportunity to hire us.

My parents home got flooded in hurricane Harvey and I needed to quickly help them find a demolition team to get the house. In comes Frank at canopy unlimited who was super responsive and helpful in the beginning. navigating the insurance process was a challenge and we wanted to make sure that the adjuster had enough intact to determine the amount of damage to the house. After the adjuster left we called Frank to remove the last bits of drywall Etc but he did not complete the job to our satisfaction. When asked to come back and finish getting the rest of the house he stopped by but refused to finish and complete the rest of the work stating that because I requested that he not seal the studs that that implied that we did not want him to continue work on the rest of the house that was requested. I guess because he's now been paid fully he has no incentive to finish doing the rest of the work. I wouldnt recommend this company as they seem to lack integrity and have failed to finish the work described in the contract for what was paid to its entirety

I am sorry you feel this way and I am a really surprised considering your Father visited our home last week unannounced a second time and requested that we provide a full estimate to rebuild his house. I will provide you with a brief summary of what transpired since you are in Portland and were not part of the project. I initially walked the project with your parents and explained that a proper remediation included removing everything that was under water including the fireplace surround and staircase. They agreed that it was not necessary and would prefer to keep the stairs in particular because it would be hard to match the remaining wood stairs. Further, in order to save additional money, you in particular contacted me and advised that you would like to forego the encapsulation process and cut our job short. After a final walk through with both of your parents, they deemed my job complete and paid the balance. About a week later, they walked the house again and decided that additional drywall needed to be removed and we promptly returned and walked the house throughly with your father and he again deemed the project complete. About a week ago, your mother called me and advised that an inspector of which she did not want to disclose who it was, advised the stairs needed to be removed and I arranged an additional meeting with them to document what needed to be removed. I advised a third time that the stairs, stair parts, fireplace surround, and tile needed to go and I would do it. Your father did not agree with the fireplace or the stairs, just the stair skirt. I told him it could not be taken out without removing the treads because one comes before the other. He told me not to worry about it and that he would call me back. I never heard back from him until he walked over to my house to ask for an estimate for a kitchen. We are rebuilding several homes in our neighborhood including the HOA President all of which have had 100% satisfaction. I really think the problem was a miscommunication between you and your parents. Attached is a screen shot of my email to both of your parents and yourself of which I never received a reply to. And I really find it disheartening to give us 2 stars of which we have worked tirelessly to uphold our reputation for a 1 foot piece of trim that needs to be removed and has not because you and your family cannot make a decision on how you want to go about doing it for the sake of saving 3 stair treads.

Frank and Inez were great from start to finish. We had many questions and uncertainties on the design and concept of our outdoor kitchen and patio cover, but Frank and Inez were very patient and very helpful in the design. From taking care of permits to the final touch ups, I was very pleased with the work performed and I highly recommend!

Thank you Canopy Unlimited for outstanding workmanship in our home, we couldn't be more satisfied!!! Not only did Canopy Unlimited bring my hgtv obsession of shiplap into reality in our new home but they managed to work wonders seamlessly, promptly, they're extremely professional and communication was top notch. I will continue to use them over and over for all my future home reno projects!
