Very cheap quality. We walked through multiple times during the construction of our home and had to point out crooked and uneven walls. Now we have dealt with the home warranty and they take forever to get things fixed, or they don’t do it right. We’ve kept bugging them until it’s right because, well, it wasn’t a cheap purchase.

Cheap quality, lack of attention to detail. Completely missed our insulation in one of our rooms. Make sure your home is perfect before you move in because otherwise you'll be left to the home warranty and it will take forever to have a response from the company.

Candlelight Homes was great to work with. The sales agent "Dave Cope" in the model home was very helpful. The superintendent on site was always willing to work with us. We love our house!!!

Having never built a home before I was very nervous about the process and concerned I would forget to ask important questions or to include features in my home I just didn't think of. The salesperson I worked with was amazing - she made sure I understood every step of the process and didn't make me feel like my questions were silly. It was hard to believe that my home turned out even better than I had imagined. Candlelight truly made me feel like I was getting a custom building experience - I highly recommend them and would build with them again if the need arises.

I just purchased a home from Candlelight and I was very pleased with the quality and service. The staff at the Model home werevery helpful and friendly. The home was finished on time and the process was quite smooth. The contractor was also very knowledgeable and walked us through everything there is to know about the home. Buying a home can be a stressful process, but this was a pleasant experience! And yes, we love the house!

Candlelight Homes has been one of the best companies that I have ever done business with. My wife and I were looking for a house and we weren't loving the available homes on the market so when we decided to possibly look to build, we found the home we wanted to build and live in for a long period of time. The sales rep was incredible to work with. Easy, reliable and quick to make sure the process is seamless. If you are someone who doesn't enjoy salesperson, no biggie, the houses sell themselves, at least, that's what happened with us. If I ever had to move and build again, I would definitely look up Candlelight again to work with.

Candlelight has a lot of great options and their communities stand out among others. We love our colour selections of our home and get so many compliments.

Overall, Candlelight Homes has been decent. I'm still fairly new in the stages of the overall process. The homes seem very good quality. There have definitely been a few speed bumps along the way, but my sales agent (Denise) has been INCREDIBLE to help me smooth those bumps out and make me feel good. She has been able to help me whenever I've needed her to, even when she's been on vacation. She has gone above and beyond my expectations and has really been what I've needed to continue in the process. Candlelight is lucky to have her.

I had very good experience when I working on a new construction with Denise L Hunter of Candlelight Homes . Candlelight Homes delivered what they has promised for my clients. The walkthrough and home care service made my clients very happy .

Our experience with Candlelight has been excellent. Not to say that there haven't been small nits along the way.. that's to be expected with a project as big as building a house. But Candlelight's project managers were great to work with and were overall quite responsive to our requests for information or changes. We were also very surprised at Candlelight's willingness to allow changes to some pretty big structural things along the way (our previous builder allowed zero changes) and we loved the design center. The center was almost overwhelming with the number of choices. This really allowed us to personalize the house and make it our own. We love our new Candlelight home!

This is the third home we've had built and it was the most streamlined process, for the most part. Candace was amazing. She really went to bat for us a few times with the builder. We had a few issues that she worked hard to resolve. The few things in the final product that I'm actually unhappy with would have been resolved with a different floor plan (so mostly my fault, though they didn't reflect in the initial floor plan at the model home) but over all, it's a beautiful home. Unfortunately, they're still an ongoing issue which I'm deeply disappointed in how I've been treated by the warranty department.

This review about the quality of the construction and house and not any personal. Why no 5 Stars...here it is, 1. Bought a ready for movin house, didn't have good taste of colors. Painted grey everywhere. 2. Basement job wasn't planned well for owners to built in the future. Seems to be done for their convenience rather than making it easy for finishing it. 3. Landscape could've been better. Its not done flat. 4. In the world of LED lights everywhere, house didn't have a single LED lights. 5. No Towel holders in Master Bathroom??

I've built a home 3 times now, and this was by far the best experience. They were available for us every step of the way. Things happen and mistakes happen. But they were on top of those and made the changes quickly. Our house is so beautiful. The picture was several months ago.

Candlelight Homes is a great builder. The owners of the company showed integrity from the start to the end. A problem came up late in construction, and Candlelight spent more than 10k to solve it and make us happy. We were more than pleased with the finished home. Dave Cope is the man. He was there for the entire process to help us with our questions and concerns. He accommodated some major changes we asked for in the base home design. We love the location. We have already suggested to friends that they should move into our neighborhood.

Candlelight Homes was fabulous. Their home designs were just beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. From beginning to completion they were professional and listened to our ideas and issues. We definitely got the home of our dreams!

Overall I'm pretty happy with Candlelight Homes, they do make a beautiful home and I love their variety of floor plans. There are little things I liked about this builder vs. other's, a low HOA fee, but still having an HOA (I like to not have neighbors with broken down cars on their front lawn, but don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it). I also liked that there are light fixtures in every room (you'd be surprised how many builders don't have lights in the front or family rooms) I love the exterior of Candlelight homes, they are very attractive without looking silly, some other builders look like they should be a gingerbread house, honestly, you don't get that with Candlelight. It comes with the lifetime shingles for the roof, which I really appreciate. You also get landscaping in the front and side yard, which is nice. Stairs also come with the back deck, which you don't get with many other builders. There were a few cons: I didn't like that I couldn't find out how much upgrades would be until I had signed and paid a non-refundable deposit on a house. I would have liked to know how much things I wanted were going to cost so I could choose the floor plan accordingly. We left ourselves $40k for upgrades, had I known what the upgrades would have cost prior to the deposit, I would have wanted to leave myself closer to $50k-$60k in upgrades. I regret not upgrading our deck as there is no room for a BBQ in the standard size, even with the upgraded sliding glass door at 8 feet wide, making the deck 8 feet wide, it's still only 3 feet deep, every foot is used to be able to get to the stairs. I would have liked to upgrade our carpet too, but there was only so much room in the budget, and I really didn't want to go over, so we had to pick and choose. I wouldn't change anything that I DID upgrade, I just would have liked to upgrade more, and feel like I could have, had I chosen a less expensive floor plan. Overall, I do really love our home. There are a few things that are bothersome, i.e. the floors creak in certain areas, there were a few things that needed to be fixed after we moved in, like the carpet not being tacked down on all the stairs, or the porcelain being scratched up, but there is a year long warranty that is supposed to cover these things, so it shouldn't be a problem in the long run, just something to be aware of when building new. Another downside in my opinion was that you only get one and a half free appointments at the design center, it seemed like an overwhelming amount of decisions to make in one and a half appointments, you get 5-6 hours the first time around and 2-2.5 hours the second time around. If you require more time after that, you have to pay to come back. I felt like if we are buying a house over $300k then we should be given more time to make these decisions we'll be stuck with for 10 years or so. The other thing I would have liked was a well laid out itinerary of what to expect and when, we had to rely on our sales person to tell us the next step after each step had been completed, and sometimes I didn't know what the next step was unless I was talking to the person at the design center or the super. I would have liked to have it all written out on paper saying step one: pick home design, sign contract and submit non-refundable deposit, step two: pick structural upgrades, step three: submit construction deposit...and so on. We were told what was coming next, but I'm a planner, I wanted to know everything from the beginning not the next step after the last step was completed, and getting that information seemed difficult and frustrating at times. I did enjoy working with the design center, it was fun (and overwhelming) to pick everything out for our home. And I felt like our home designer, Whitney was VERY helpful, she was able to harness our unique sense of style and help us pick out things that spoke to us, as well as keeping our budget in mind. We are very happy with the colors and styles of things we picked out for our home. Overall... Would I do it again? Probably, having the experience now, there are things I would do a little differently. And overall it wasn't a bad experience. Would I recommend to friends? Yes, with advice on how much to set aside for upgrades, and what to expect at the time of move in.

Overall we are very happy with our choice of Candlelight Homes. We loved their floor plans and the ability to customize it to our needs. As building goes, it was a pretty affordable price. We have only two complaints. 1. We paid to have an outlet behind our TV over the mantle. Unfortunately, there was some VERY poor coordination and lack of planning from the different groups of workers. The electrician had no idea how tall our mantle would be and they ended up installing the outlet so low that they had to trim the wall plate get the plug above the mantle. This plug should have been high enough to hide the cords behind the TV. By the time they installed the mantle, it was too late to modify it and now we are stuck with unsightly cords hanging from our TV. We will have to hire another electrician to fix this mistake. 2. Upon closing many of the finishes we had previously marked for repair were not fixed. It took about two weeks for the people to come back to finish it. However, once they were finished, the house looks great and as we would expect it. Again, overall we are very happy with Candlelight. Thanks for making our dream home a reality.

Candlelight was a great company to work with. I was especially impressed with the general contractor, Austin, and his assistant, Jeremiah. When there was something that I saw was amiss, they took care of it with haste and without complaint. The only complaint that I have is that the completion date was pushed back a couple of weeks due to the Stucco Subcontractors. They caused us to have issues with the place we were renting at. All in all though, it was a painless experience and I would recommend using them to anyone.

Candlelight was very professional. They had lots of options and were very accommodating. We made a few very custom designs and they made it easy to make those changes. When there were issues with the home, they never made us feel weird for bringing up the issues. They said they would fix it. My only complaint is the sub-floor plumbing downstairs wasn't placed correctly, and I mentioned it very early on, and they said they would fix it and they never did. I had to fork out $1,500 to get it fixed. The construction manager has been trying to get a concession, but I haven't heard anything yet. The construction manager was great! Overall, I have been pleased, just wish they would have dealt with the poor placement of my subfloor plumbing downstairs.

We had a great experience with Candlelight building our new home from start to finish. The Seller Agent was knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating to our needs. The few mistakes they did make were minor and addressed quickly and thoroughly. I loved how much they let us customize. We didn't feel like we had to "settle" with our choices. If we were to build a home again, Candlelight would be our first choice.

We are so in love with our house! We feel like we got an incredible value for the money. And we ended up going through Security National for our lender. Jaime was girl over there. Anyway, we bought a spec home. We were going to build and even had a deposit down but before we went to move forward on that, we looked into a spec home more and it turned out to be perfect for us. Candlelight was able to get the home done a couple weeks earlier than scheduled so that we could move in since our current home was under contract. It all worked out so perfectly! We love everything the designer choose and the floor plan is perfect for us. The area is so nice (Santorini Village in SJ) and there's a lot of nice neighbors. We're really happy! The ONLY thing that we didn't love was the company they contracted with to do the security system. We've been having serious issues with that from the start. But that wasn't why we choose candlelight or anything so I won't take off a star for that. Everything else has been great. Since moving in the couple small issues we had in the house or whatever, well, they fixed them for us right away. It's all been a wonderful experience! We are very grateful that we found this Candlelight community.

Candlelight was awesome to work with before and after the sale of my town-home. Lane answered all of my questions and was very responsive from the beginning. Since I moved in Danny has been equally as great while quickly addressing any/everything I have asked him and his team to. Candlelight's team has been professional and done everything they said they would do.

I have loved our Candlelight home and experience. Our home is beautiful and we have received compliments every time somebody comes over. We live in Evans Ranch and so there is a lot of construction still going on. But anytime I have had a problem or issue they are right over to resolve or fix it. Austin (head contractor/foreman) is absolutely the best! The moment I call or text him about a problem he is over that day to fix it. I know he really wants us to love and enjoy our house and he takes pride in each home and wants to make sure every homeowner is happy with their home. The most thing i will say is candlelight lets you change the house layout, which is very custom because only high end builder let you do this. we changed the layout of the kitchen completely to our desire so it is a big plus.

We built our first home with Candlelight at East Riverwalk. They are very professional and have great work ethics. The construction manager and sales representative were great and very responsive. We got some issues during construction but they went above and beyond to resolve those issues without any delay in delivery. I would recommend them to anyone building a home.

We found Candlelight homes while searching on the internet. We looked at so many houses and new developments but Candlelight peaked our interest with its contemporary design and central location. The sales team was able to provide all the pertinent information but weren't pushy at all. Once we did a walk through it was hard not to say yes. We loved the idea being able to choose our own finishes and really make the home our own. We had a great experience and would highly recommend Candlelight to any buyers out there.

We met with Candlelight homes to build our home early last year. They had a number of great models to choose from, and plethora of options to truly make it our own. The design center designer helped walk us through the interior and exterior options of our home. Once construction started, they called us once a week to give us an update on what they had done, and what they were going to do next. We are very satisfied with our home, and would recommend Candlelight to friends.

Candlelight homes was great to work with and did a great job of meeting expectations. I was very impressed with the care they took in finishes and cleaning the place before I moved in. I would definitely recommend them based on these things. Pros: Attention to detail, met my standards in getting things right, quality of appliances, furnishings (i.e. cupboards), on schedule, great to work with. Cons: Floors are a bit bouncy near the island, and in the living room.

I bought a home from Candlelight that was a home they had previously used as a model home. The process to buy from them was super easy and they knew a lot about the home. We love the upgrades that they had designed for that house. The design team did an awesome job. We also finished the basement with them and it was a very easy and quick process. I definitely recommend them.

Candlelight does such an excellent job. From the very first time we walked in the sales office to even after we closed on our house, every step was a pleasure. Our house is beautiful and very well built. We have neighbors whose house was built by other companies and they are incredibly jealous of the quality of our build. there are no squeaks on the stairs, our beautiful kitchen is sturdy. the few minor issues we had after we moved in (the type of things that can be expected on any build) were quickly and deftly taken care of and will never be an issue again. 10/10 would work with again.

We are very happy with our purchase. The ability to customize and design your own features is a great selling point. We toured multiple models and found one we loved in a location we really liked. Overall it was an enjoyable experience- Pros The speed of the process is exceptional The options to select from are very generous Multiple floor plans we liked, but found one we loved Numerous materials used for the structural portion of the house (included) that would be considered an upgrade in other communities Cons Thought there could be more clarity as to what was included with upgrades -There were some key features that you would think go hand and hand with select upgrades that were surprise additions Pricing on upgrades- do your homework -Many are competitively priced or slightly more expensive but much more convenient up front to have installed during construction - However some are highly overpriced, we shopped around and found significantly better deals on a refrigerator and blinds Thought the interior finish work could have had better attention to detail, especially given it is a new home and you are paying top dollar Less than thrilled with the smart home features- sound good up front, but haven't been very impressed with Tym

Candlelight was awesome and I really love our new home! Everyone was always really good about getting back to me. Their design center was the best! There was a huge selection of flooring, cabinets, stone, and design. I would definitely recommend them if you want quality along with a great deal.

We purchased one of their quick move in homes in Vineyard and we love the house, the layout, and the community. We are very impressed with the quality of the home. I would recommend candlelight homes for your next home purchase.

My wife had such a great experience with Candlelight! It started with taking a tour of a beautiful model home, which led to getting all our questions answered by Clint, the salesman. Candlelight built our home in Utah and did a great job. They were thorough, used great materials, and even customized our home when we couldn't find a stock model that worked for us. They made a few mistakes but most of them worked out in or favor so I can't complain. The others were resolved within a reasonable amount of time.

After the home was completed, their were a few things that needed to be fixed, which took a little longer than hoped for. That is the reason I am giving 4 out of 5 stars. Other than than, we have had a great experience and love our home.

My husband and I found the Candlelight Community and were SO excited as it was exactly what we were looking for as well as fit in our budget. We had a great experience up until they started building. We had to pay a couple hundred dollars for a change order fee because we weren't notified of a few things at the design center. Because we "signed" the paperwork, we had to pay extra for something that was not addressed during the design meeting. On top of that, we added an additional section to our concrete patio which they forgot to pour until 2 days before move in. When we got that taken care of, the concrete they poured had to be bolted to the standard patio as it wasn't poured at the same time. They covered the new portion with a tarp, in which it rained shortly after. They didn't come back to address the issue and now my concrete patio that I payed extra for has spots all over it and looks like I have leopard print patio due to the tarp. I mentioned the issue and the team won't do anything about it and argue that's just what happens to concrete. I understand you can't guarantee the cracking, but I at least expect to get what I paid for. It's unfortunate that Candlelight won't do anything about it because I thought they were a good company that built beautiful homes. Anytime I had to talk with my sales team I felt bullied into my decisions. My requests were brushed under the rug and I left the meetings crying because I felt that I wasn't being heard. We love our home but because of our experience we won't build with Candlelight again.

We built a house for the first time. Candlelight was very helpful in explaining and making sure we understood the process. Candlelight has also been very responsive in resolving issues that have come up.

For the most part our experience building with Candlelight was pretty good. Very professional builders. The only reason I am not providing 5 stars is because I felt like they were people pleasers at times leading me to believe they could accommodate somethings I was interested in, but they could not do. Other than some little issues like that, they were honest, and I never felt like I was getting a run for my money, like you tend to feel with builders.

Candlelight built our beautiful house in Bluffdale. We love it and had a great experience working with the Candlelight team throughout the building process. They listened to our needs and helped us find the home that fit us best. When we had questions they were quick to respond and they always made us feel like we were important. Their customer service was outstanding and our house matches the level of attention that they gave to us. We love it! If you are looking to build a new home I would definitely give Candlelight consideration.

They were great to work with, always on time with completion dates. We felt they had our best interests in mind when building our home and we love the extra options we were able to get. We LOVE our new home and would build with them again in a second.

Sales Process was accceptable. Sales Rep was so so on knowledge of town house details. Mortgage Process was excellent. Town house was cookie cutter, but I asked for 3 minor changes. None were accomodated. Aspire Design was so so; she had an "I can't be bothered" attitude. Designer had an "agend" and it was not mine. Closing walk through was disorganized and rushed. After closing the constuction short falls started to show. Like they cut my wired door bell and never told me. Just masked it with a wireless doorbell that had to be replaced 3 times. Finally fixed properly nearly after 10 months. Warranty service so so. Sometimes efficient and "on it." One Warranty Rep was often condescending and argumentative. On my garage door problem, he blew me off. I contacted the subcontractor and he fixed the track alignment and roller problems. 27 problems reported, all resolved so far. 3 more to be reported. Closet space is almost none existent. Now they have better designs but won't improve and retrofit mine. No front exterior water hose faucet; another design defect they won't correct. Two subcontractors were very good to work with, Amp'D Electric and Titan Heating. If you buy a town home; get into the details. Don't back off of your position. Thank you.

I bought a Candlelight home back in 2013. It was a spec home, as I wanted to move right in. When I first walked in I loved the layout of the Cortina floor plan. It had the openess that I wanted with high ceilings. Not to mention the master suite that I couldn't find anything comparable at the same price point from any other builder. There were a few upgrades that the builder allowed me to make (ie, granite cpunter tops) and they had me go to theit design Center for those upgrades. In general, I loved the finishes of the spec home. As with any builder, there are always final punch list items. Candlelight was quick to respond during the warranty period of the first 12 months. Again, as with any home, there are issues that you find the longer you live there, and are no longer under warranty. I know some of the subcontractors cut a few corners, and I had to watch them, but Candlelight always helped me resolve any issues I had. Overall I feel the quality was great. At closing I wish Candlelight would have expressed the need to review the warranty booklet close for extended warranty requirements of my AC. Because I did not submit quick enough, my AC only has a 5 year warranty and not the 10. Yes, this could be seen as a failure of the homeowner not to read all the fine print, but a reminder would have been welcomed. Overall, I have thought Candlelight has built a good home and have treated me with respect. I would definitely consider building with them again.

This was our first experience building our first house. If you asked us to rate DURING the building, we probably would have given them a 3. But we've been in our house almost two years now, and we've had MANY conversations with people who have built with other companies, and their horror stories have shocked us. With our post-building experience, we have to go with a 4/5. Yes, there were times when their subcontractors messed up, and we had to remind them several times to fix the problem. Yes, there are things we wish they had brought up when planning our upgrades (i.e. trim around the windows is NOT included in the trim package, which we upgraded to include thicker baseboards. It may seem like an obvious exclusion to some, but again--it was our first time.) We had an issue with a showerhead leaking within the warranty period, and they were quick to respond with a professional coming out, and the company hired was great and went the extra mile, going beyond the simple fix which would have only resolved the problem in the short term. Overall, we've been pretty darn happy with our home.

We would not recommend Candellight for a new home build. We had some problems with our home and continue to run into problems due to contractual mistakes and simply sloppiness.

We've lived in our Candlelight home since 02/14 and have been pleased with the job they did. One of our favorite features is the smart home feature. Being able to control the thermostat remotely is amazing. Also, we love the camera and built in alarm system. We did have some issues arise during and after construction and for the most part Candlelight was quick to respond and fix the issues.

I had been trying to find my client a new home. We were comparing Candlelight Homes with another builder in the nearby area. We met with the agent in the office who was extremely helpful. The thing I was most pleased about was that the buyer I was helping had very specific things she wanted in the house and the builder worked very hard with her to build just the type of house she was looking for! At one point there was a conflict in understanding in the home design while building, Candlelight was quick to resolve the issue and have the contractors fix the issue.

We were able to move into a Candlelight Home that was a Quick Move-in. It was great. The process was fast and they were a great company to go through.

We had a move-in deadline we were trying to meet and they exceeded our expectations on how much they worked with us to meet that deadline. In fact they were weeks early. We were very happy with Dave, our contact, and felt that he really took our best interest to heart.

We shopped many builders before deciding to work with Candlelight and I'm so happy we did. We loved a few different floor plans and the Candlelight realtor, Dave Cope, suggested modifying the Breckenridge to our liking. He was great to work with and VERY patient with the daily phone calls and questions we had. Our home was built within approx. 7 mo during the winter. We removed a room, knocked out a wall in the living area , extended the master bedroom and bathroom as well as relocated the laundry room. With all these changes we were still within budget and I couldn't have been happier.

We built our first home with Cendlelight. They were a pleasure to work with. We had a great overall experience. We ha f a few questions/issues along the way, but they worked wh is to answer the questions/concerns that we had. We love our home!

We started the process of building a home through Candlelight in August of 2014. We worked primarily with Dave Cope and Ken Jensen. Both were excellent to work with. Things went smoothly with the house, but anytime you build, there will be issues from time to time. Both were very quick to take action and resolves issues as they came up. There were no major issues, just minor things and all of them were resolved to our satisfaction. We absolutely love our floor plan (Tahoe A) and other plans Candlelight offers. They are well thought out and use space very efficiently. I would recommend Candlelight to anyone looking to build.

I had a great experience. They have been very up front with us and provided great service. I love the house, floor plan and my whole experience. We spent a little too much on upgrades at the design center which is my own fault but you should expect to spend some money there.

Our house was finished before the promised date. We are very happy with everything. Any issues that arose after moving in were resolved right away. We have been very pleased with our experience.

Candlelight Homes was great to work with during the constriction process. The price was great, and we love the location. The only issue we E have experienced is related to the extremely small lots. There are two homes being built on either side of my house, and they did not leave enough space to build the homes without working on our property. A good chunk of our yard was destroyed, including our sprinkler system. I haven't been able to get any response from the construction superintendent yet to solve the issues (It's been two months since I began trying...), but I am fully confident that Candlelight will solve this issue soon.

We bought a "Quick Move-In" home from Candlelight Homes. The buying process was decently quick. There were a few upgrades that took place as part of the purchase agreement and these were carried out within the time to close. Since the house was a new home, we conducted a walk-through and generated a small list of items that needed attention, which were completed also prior to closing. In conjunction with the walkthrough the features of the home were explained. The details of the "Smart Home" included elements weren't fully covered. The lights to be controlled required more process than communicated. We scheduled Tym to come program the Smart features, but they couldn't complete the setup until we got an electrician to come install the light switches. Which then required getting Tym back out to complete the setup.

When looking for a new home, I ran across the Candleight Homes in Woods Cross, UT. They were beautiful homes and just what I was looking for. I wanted a rambler type home and many builders are not building these anymore. It was a good experience choosing colors and options for my home and moving in was seamless. I only had one problem shortly after moving in, but the general contractor came right over and fixed the problem right away. I have been in my new home for 10 months and am loving it!

Overall I'm pretty happy. They had to make several modifications to the floor plan even though it was a stock floor plan, so that was kind of weird. A few chips in both showers/tubs. Communication from the builder wasn't quite as timely as I would have liked. I wish they had a model home available in something more similar to what I was building so I could have had a better feel for what I was getting, but overall I'm still pretty pleased.

Candlelight was great to work with when I built my townhome. They answered all my questions were easy to get a hold of and calmedy fears. Things that were wrong were quickly changed and they listened when I had concerns or suggestions. I would definitely be willing to build with candlelight again.

We hired Candlelight to build our home that finished in December. We have really loved living here. The house is great and the neighborhood is fantastic. Candlelight was great throughout the process and was flexible to our needs as this was our first time building a home. We really felt like we could customize what we wanted but were able to stay pretty close to what we had budgeted. Overall I would recommend them for anyone looking to build.

Overall our experience was great with Candlelight. They have a well-oiled machine from Day 1 till 30 days after close for warranty. Everyone at Candlelight was nice to work with, but sometimes we felt like we were irritating the staff when we had questions. We feel that we got what we wanted, but it seems like not everything was communicated to us properly. For example, we never got the option for soffit lighting, all our neighbors seem to have figured out how to get it. The security system is useless, the mobile app is horrendous and by the time you get the security camera to load your guests ( or bad guys perhaps ) have already left. We got a peep hole installed, it works better. Other than that, we are happy and comfortable. We would buy Candlelight Homes again, albeit a bit smarter about how we communicate with them.

They were great to resolve any issues and have been great since we have moved in as well. They also are very responsive to inquires. The home is beautiful and big. The quality is very nice.

We LOVE our home, and the neighborhood. All the people we worked with getting into our home were professional and easy to work with. We have had some problems with our land, and warranty issues.

It went pretty good. It was a unique situation so it's hard to put it all on either of us. This was also our first brand new home and was an already finished spec home.

They were fantastic to work with. We had a great experience from start to finish. Even when a couple issues came up after we were in our home, the warranty department acted quickly to resolve any issue. We ended up buying a home that was already under construction and were able to modify a couple things to our liking. The design team was great at explaining everything during the selection phase and the construction team kept us informed on the progress.

My husband and I shopped, exhaustively, for a new construction home that we BOTH loved, and that fit our budget. We had narrowed it down to two builders. Candlelight, and another builder who often builds in the same neighborhoods with them. I am ashamed to say that we decided to build with the other builder because, for the same square footage, they were less expensive. They were less expensive, UNTIL we went to the home fittings showroom. Of course, we would expect to pay extra for hand scraped hickory floors and quartz counter-tops, but we were amazed to find that if we ever planned to finish the basement, we would have to replace the electrical panel that the house came with with a new, bigger one, which would run about $2,000.00, Candlelight homes COME with an electrical panel large enough to handle the additional load of a finished basement. Next, we found that if we wanted to finish that same basement, that we would need to either replace, or add an additional HVAC system. The one that came with the house was only able to handle the finished portions of the home. The Candlelight homes COME with two complete HVAC systems, which together, are more than enough to meet the needs of the size of house we purchased, both finished and unfinished. Candlelight homes have higher quality "standard features" to begin with. Cabinetry, for instance, with the other builder was several grades below the standard with Candlelight, meaning that we would have had to upgrade 4 levels with the other builders, at an additional cost for each level, to get to what would come standard with Candlelight. Long story short, we have now lived in our new home for almost a year. We love everything about it. There have been a couple of minute warranty issues, but all of the service providers have been more than responsive. This is not the first new construction home we have purchased, so we know how many serious issues there can be when first moving into a new construction home, so we have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of workmanship and the overall craftsmanship of the home. We would buy another Candlelight home any day of the week!

We walked through a model Candlelight home and immediately fell in love with the design, upgrades, look, natural lighting and overall feel of the home. We planned on building a similar home and when we met with the sales agent he let us know the model home was now on the market. We decided to go with the model and have been extremely pleased with the home, the home buying process, on the builder side of things, working with the sales agent, the project manager etc.

Overall I was very happy with Candlelight Homes. Their home designs look great and we have had independent sources say that overall the construction of our home was quality and sound. Any snags or problems we did hit with them from contract signing to warranty issues after moving in were resolved and left us satisfied. I would recommend someone looking to build a home to check out Candlelight.

We built our home with Candlelight and had a positive experience. We feel we got a good value and love our new home. There were a few small issues along the way, but we are pleased overall.

During our house shopping we scoped out a lot of builders around the area and candlelight is above most of their competitors. The build quality isn't perfect but I don't feel like anything is going to break on me. Some of the other builders I'd be very wary on their quality. The agents are very friendly and also are pretty good at following up on answering any questions. Ive worked with Luke and briefly with Lane and they were both top notch. They also have friendly preferred lenders who go out of their way to make sure everything is good (security national). After home buying experience. When I first moved in, the movers for the appliances included with the home damaged my floors and walls. They caused the damage after the final walkthrough and nothing is fixed for me. Warranty doesnt cover the damages caused by the movers that candlelight hired. I'd suggest anyone else who closes to not close until everything is set, installed, and perfect. General in warranty repairs take about a week which is okay. I've heard my friends from other townhomes have to wait weeks to months for a resolution. The walls are thick like they say. I hardly hear my neighbors unless they're installing something on their walls or are talking very loudly outside. Electricians are weird at wiring. Some of my wall switches are flipped incorrectly and I have one outlet which is crooked as can be. The only complaint I have about the shared common areas are the trash at the park and the dog feces (in Santorini Village). Maybe they should have the Hoa install dog cleanup stations and some garbage cans around.

They did a great job in meeting our needs and request. Sales people and super intendant were helpful all the way through.

We really enjoyed building our home with Candlelight Homes. The agent Dave Cope was great to work with and the project manager Ken was on top of it! Our home was done sooner than expected and after 8 months we still love our home and are very happy with the quality! I would recommend Candlelight Homes as a great builder to use.. It's also nice that the smart home features are included in the build.

Candlelight did a gr at job with our home! Though I do feel the design center was a bit overpriced, the company did all they could to make sure we we're happy. They worked quickly and efficiently and made sure everything was done correctly. I would definitely recommend them.

I purchased a home from Candlelight Homes in 2014. The sales, design and construction process was great. However, Candlelight fails in the warranty department. They have built in exclusions in their warranty to ensure that the home owner will incur the costs of their poor workman ship. The grout has separated at every location that two surfaces meet; not covered. The paint is not very resistant to any contact and leaves white marks everywhere. The "smart home" portion of the install has failed. But the TYM staff has been exceptional. I have purchased other new homes from builders in the area, Ivory, in the past. If I was going to build again, I would not chose Candlelight.

I had planned for several years to hire a contractor to build my home. I started comparing contractors for quality of construction, cost and integrity. I'm in a business that is associated with construction so I was able to compare many. When I discovered the Candlelight was one of the contractors building in a subdivision I was considering I was so pleased. Luckily they offered a rambler that fit what I was looking for. Their prices were competitive so I signed with them. As the construction progressed I kept a close eye on the work they did. Everything 'behind the walls' was done correctly and with good craftsmanship, which was critically important to me. Their finish work was above par, with extras that were not marketed as 'upgrades', requiring additional cost. My experience with Candlelight has been phenomenal, from the sales agent to the superintendent. I couldn't be happier!

We love our new home built by Candlelight - our home was built with quality and we immediately felt comfortable when we moved in. We had a great construction manager who made the experience really great for us. We were able to contact him at any point to discuss anything and we really appreciated how Candlelight has weekly calls - these were reliable and came every Tuesday, we loved getting an update on what happened, what the plan is this week and it allowed an avenue to ask any questions. I would use Candlelight again and recommend them to others

My wife and I have now build 5 homes with 4 different builders here in Utah. The process has always been less than fun. We recently hired Candlelight homes built our dream home and it turned out exactly as expected. They allowed us to customize several features and the quality was the best we've ever experienced. Now after being in the home for 5 months we are still loving everything about it, especially the lower utility bills which come from the 2x6 exterior walls. The pricing for upgrades was much lower than with the other builders and every Candlelight home comes with smart home features like a camera at the front door, a security system and more. I would highly recommend this builder to anyone looking to build.

I've spent a lot of time over the last year researching home builders in my area trying to decide who to build with. I have been most impressed with Candlelight Homes. I love their innovative designs and the smart home technology they build into their homes. They've been great to work with so far and I'm excited to start building my home.

We built with Candlelight 3 years ago. Still bothered by poor workmanship in the finish work (painting). Every single door frame has bumps where the nails were put in. There are LOTS of doors in our home. When we asked to have it fixed, someone came and (sort of) sanded the baseboards and used a 25 cent paintbrush to touch up. With a different paint than was on it originally. They came back 5 times and did the exact same thing. Finally decided it would be easier and look better to just do it myself. If they would have just vacuumed the dust up before painting, it would have made a world of difference. When you pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a home, you should not have to redo the finish work. Very disappointing.

Had a consultation but we didn't know if we wanted to move forward with building a new home or buy an existing home. We loved their ability to customize things but couldn't find a location we were crazy about at the time.

Candlelight homes has failed to build our home to the specifications we have paid for. The trades crews candlelight employed in building our home did a very poor job. Paint, dry-wall and caulking appear to have been done by someone with no experience. We requested these trades come back through and fix mistakes, and for the most part the mistakes were simply covered up or hidden rather than fixed. Most of our blue tape items were not addressed, but the tape was removed as if the problem had been fixed. Throughout the process we learned that we needed to be at the site daily, because we ended up catching them making many huge mistakes with the finishes of the home. unfortunately, we did not catch them all and are now forced to live with them. We found communication between the sales manager, aspire and the contractor to be very poor. We made many changes to our aspire choices a week or so after we chose initial finishes and the contractor ended up ordering and installing all of our original choices rather than the changed items we officially signed on. We have been in our home for one week and all we have done besides move in is fix what they failed to fix. That is not supposed to happen in a brand new home. i suggest you look around and evaluate builders by the recently built homes in your neighborhood rather than the model home. I can assure you your home will not match the quality of the model home.

Candlelight Homes do a great job at building beautiful homes at a great price. They are also very tech savvy homes that are up to date with the latest technology.

The process has taken much longer than we were told it would in the beginning. We hired Candlelight homes in February to build us a home. It is now September and they are still not finished. They tell us they will finish sometime between mid-November to end-November. This has been very frustrating since we were originally told the project would be done by end of August to first of September. We have also recently experienced some communication issues between the Candlelight Agent/Candlelight Construction Supervisor and the Sub-contractors. It seems like you really have to watch the upgrades and special requests that are made on the custom plan because it is hard for them to get it right. I will update my review after the project is completed. Just know that if you hire Candlelight you are probably in for a long frustrating wait. It is now the near the end of November (10 months from when we started the process) and the house is essentially completed. Can we close? If you said yes, you would be wrong because remember this company has made us wait and wait and wait. We have just one document that needs to be initialed by a corporate person. But, apparently there is only one person that can sign documents and he is in Hawaii. The mortgage company submitted the request for him to docusign last week and he still has not responded. How frustrating! So, potential Candlelight customer beware we have found that the inefficiencies in this company are plentiful and you as a customer will probably pay for it from start to finish with a very long frustrating wait. You had better have an extreme amount of patience to even build with this company.

I just want to let people know about my experience with candlelight homes because I wish I would have know this prior to our purchase. When we decided to purchase a town home we were told Nov 1 was the estimated completion date. I was very disappointed when it wasn't actually move in ready till April. It is mid june and the yard is still dirt. Several upgrades we paid for were not done. They are now trying to offer an unacceptable alternative and refusing to refund any money. When repair people come out to fix things they don't give me any notice and show up. The quality they promised isn't there, at least not with my house. There are several other issues I have with them, but I think that is enough for people reading this to get my point. I wanted to update my review. Its mid August and still no grass and the fence isn't finished. I am still waiting to have issues fixed. Unhappy as ever with the quality delivered by Candlelight Homes. Update as of February 2014 2 Lights won't work due to wiring issue, fixtures coming out of wall, more than a dozen tiles cracked, hundreds of nails poking out of the wall, and the back yard is sloped so half of it is always so flooded its unusable. My home nightmare continues.
