I hired Alan from BYTHESQFT to build a deck at my cottage on Rice Lake. He exceeded my expectations. Project was completed on time and under budget. Definitely everything we expected and more. Turned an ordinary deck into additional square footage outside that has become a focal point and a 100% useable outdoor living space. He was very professional and his crew was very tidy. We were not decisive, easy clients. We changed our minds and designs multiple times and Alan came up with unbelievable adaptive, creative planning which resulted in an end product that was way above our expectations. He built an imaginative, safe, solid 3 season deck that had nothing but extreme praise from ourselves and all of our company that visited our house. To take this a step further, because of Alan and his team's work ( Kevin was another excellent tradesman), we drastically increased the value of our house for resale, and we were able to sell our house privately for a very large profit - this point was mentioned specifically from the buyers who noted the deck as a strong point of the purchase. He and his crew were professional, efficient and reliable group who exceeded anything we have come across. He also does things at a very reasonable rate which was refreshing! We live 4 hours away at this point and will be contacting him to see if he would ever consider helping us with a multitude of projects in our new home.
