With 30 years experience, Bruce Higginson of Dwellings Custom Home Design has drawn hundreds of quality custom dream homes for owners and builders, from craftsman, contemporary to west coast modern, with a renewed focus on green and eco-conscious design. Located in the Cowichan Valley, we have designed houses in Vancouver, Victoria and across Vancouver Island. Dwellings now has stock plans. Dwellings Design is a complete design & permit drawing service. Generally, there are three phases to the drawing process, depending on the clients' needs. During the conceptual phase, clients can express what they have in mind for their new home or renovation plans. From the information the client has expressed, a preliminary design is created. Additionally, a 3D model can be provided if necessary. Once the preliminary design is complete (upon satisfaction of the client), working drawings are produced. These are the large drawings that will be stamped at the Planning Department and used for building your home. I have kept this simple process the same for 25 years. I have found it helps to make the clients' experience as painless and smooth as possible.
