The Bedder Way - Murphy Beds

I could not be happier with my Murphy Bed from Bedder Way. I purchased a wood bed that was overstock/discounted. It arrived very, very fast and in perfect condition. I hired a handyman to install it. I requested 2 guys, but one cancelled at the last minute. It took one guy 3 hours to install. I assisted in helping him bring the large face piece inside, and then assisted him when it was time to lift it to mount it on the wall. He had not trouble with the instructions. All the required pieces were included with spare hardware bits. Everything was in perfect condition. The bed is a quality piece, and easy to operate. It's really beautiful. It provides guest accommodations now that are both comfortable and fun :-)

My husband and I recently purchased a bed from The Bedder Way and we could not have been happier with the entire experience! Ordering and payment were easy, the delivery was as promised and the delivery company was very easy to deal with, the product arrived in perfect condition, the assembly instructions were easy to follow and accurate and the bed l went together without any issues. Three hours after our order was delivered, it was up and ready to go!

I did a lot of research for Murphy beds and finally found one of the best. The workmanship and quality are above average. I was looking for a solid wood piece and am very happy to have made the choice to use them. The shipping was on time and flawless. All pieces were in perfect condition. I recommend d them hands down and best of all it’s made in the USA!

I selected Bedder Way Murphy Beds based on their online ratings. I had a very unfortunate experience with them ultimately. I never post reviews, good or bad, except in exceptional circumstances. To start, my family's initial interactions could not have been better. The team at Bedder Way helped with measurements - and even highlighted that we may want to change our product selection based on the location of a vent on the upper part of our wall (which we did for a mountain house application). That was excellent. Problems occurred at delivery. Only three out of four boxes arrived, but it wasn't noted anywhere that Bedder's delivery was only a partial order. So, we accepted three boxes, not knowing there were four (although Bedder's management said we should have scoured their web site to figure out that the fourth box was missing based on difference in box sizes, then they said we should have known that a fourth box was missing within 24 hours based putting it together). One of the boxes was a mattress, so that was easy. The other two boxes were literally sheets of wood and a plethora of screws and brackets (i.e. similar to an IKEA product where you can't tell what you have because you have to put everything together to see what you received). Given we are in the mountains it took three weeks, and $500 to have a cabinetry vendor come to the house and put the two remaining boxes of materials together. Once together it was obvious the whole right side cabinet was not there. So I called and spoke with two people at Bedder and they acknowledged they pulled the shipment up and it was a partial shipment, and that the fourth box was likely in Atlanta or Charlotte on a dock somewhere. I asked simple questions like, "why don't you notify customers of partial shipments" and "why don't you reach out to customers and advise them they don't have a full shipment and follow up to make sure partial shipments are delivered." Not unreasonable questions since Bedder Way is the only party who has such partial shipment information. They don't offer this critical follow up, so you won't and likely can't know if you received everything. And, when you call them to ask about what you ordered and paid for they blame it on you, their customer, for not having the bed assembled in 24 hours to realize that they never sent part of the bed to you - and then they say that if you look on their website the customer should figure out what a missing box should look like (and then divine from that that a customer hasn't received everything). I acknowledged that we, as the customer, would take the hit here - that they could keep the $1,500 for the cabinet since it was our fault for not figuring out that we hadn't received what we paid for. And, because the cabinet vendor would have to completely undo - and redo - their work at another $500 charge, it doesn't make sense to do anything other than take the hit and accept we only got part of our order.

Purchased this vertical murphy bed to accommodate additional guests at our lake home. It is rare that we would need an additional guest room, but when needed we wanted all guests to feel welcome and be comfortable so a murphy bed for use in our home office fit the need. After much review and having abandoned the idea of purchasing a bed made of MDF or laminated particle board we had almost decided to have the bed custom made. Timing, design uncertainty and cost were concerns for having one custom made. Once we researched and evaluated the Bedder Way - wood construction beds we were able to find a bed unique enough to match our decor without the uncertainty and costs associated with a custom made bed. The Bedder Way bed does have characteristics associated with pre-engineered furniture to allow for home assembly but, by outward appearance, it would be hard to find the difference between our Bedder Way bed made of Alder wood and my Alder wood desk which was custom made. I specifically noted the attention to design detail and use of traditional fasteners in addition to the quick-connect cam type fasteners (somebody in design knows what they are doing). As a retired engineer - this product meets and exceeds my litmus test of "Fit, Finish and Function" - well done.

I needed some way to make a playroom for my grandchildren but still have room for guests. I had shopped Murphy beds but most were not made of solid wood. I ran across The Bedderway on line. After reading the specs, I saw they had beds made of solid wood, I ordered an oak horizontal Murphy bed. We received it quickly. It only took my husband & me about 1.5 - 2 hours to put it together (we are in our 60s). The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I love it!!! It’s easy to pull down and fold back up. We spoke with customer service once and they were very helpful. I highly recommend The Bedderway!

I had purchased two previous beds from bedder and both were great. unfortunately the third time was not a charm. quality of work is inferior . wood grain is non existent. and the stain color has purple and pink tones to it. they are not standing behind the product. not good at all

It was a bit scary buying something we couldn't see in person. The ordering was easy, the packing was superb and it arrived when they said it would. The quality is excellent!!! It's a beautiful piece of furniture!

The bed is of the highest quality and looks amazing. It is light and easy to raise and lower and no one ever even realizes it is a bed but simply looks like an armoire. It solved our furniture dilemma beautifully and we couldn't be happier with the product!

We absolutely love our Murphy bed. The quality of the product is top notch and assembly was made easy (although the pieces are heavy) with clear instructions. It took 2 of us about 2 hours to put it together. I highly recommend the white glove delivery option as the pieces are very heavy (solid wood) and the queen size is bulky to get up stairs. We also ordered the mattress with the Murphy bed and it is of high quality. This bed is used for an occasional guest room.

We have FINALLY finished our dream man-cave and installed our Murphy bed last night. It is absolutely beautiful. The guys who installed it remarked on the fine craftsmanship and high quality of the materials, and also were very appreciative of the detailed instructions. We couldn’t be happier with this gorgeous piece of furniture. First-class customer service and communication, too.
