We are a small, yet experienced, company that can be flexible to your scheduling needs and sensitive to your requests. We work closely with our general contractors and customers to keep our work accurate and on schedule for maximum customer satisfaction. Oakwood Electric & Generator takes pride in our ability to provide excellent electrical work at an affordable price. We have been doing electrical work on custom homes for general contractors in Western Springs, Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale, Riverside, Downers Grove and LaGrange and are confident that we can satisfy all of your electrical needs. In fact, one of the homes we completed was featured on “Dream House” on HGTV. Oakwood Electric & Generator Electricians are extremely skilled in electrical remodeling and finding solutions to your electrical problems. We are experienced in indoor and outdoor lighting design. We also offer 12 months same as cash financing on all Generac Generator projects.

We hired Oakwood Electric & Generator to install a Generac whole house backup generator and we were extremely pleased with the process from start to finish. From Rob coming out to do the estimate to the staff answering my many questions promptly to Pedro and Ken doing the install, everything was smooth and the result was top notch. We plan on using Oakwood Electric and Generator to handle ALL of our electrical needs from this point forward. Good contractors can be hard to find. We are thrilled to have found Oakwood!

Our house was built in 1920 and every home improvement project turns into unforeseen surprises. We needed an electrician, a company we could trust for guidance and corrections. We found that with the team at Oakwood Electric. They have always been responsive and knowledgeable about potential risks with an older home. Herb is our favorite electrician and he has been patient answering my questions on safety and potential options. We are repeat customers because of their professionalism, knowledge and ability to help out in an emergency.

The staff at Oakwood Electric & Generator was helpful with suggestions, extremely prompt, and always respectful. When I told them what I needed, they provided me with their expert opinion to guide me in the right direction. The team was incredible; they did a thorough job and left my home extremely clean. Their customer service is excellent and when I called in with questions they always followed up with me immediately. I worked with 3 different techs for my projects and each of them was very professional and courteous. I would absolutely refer them to my family and friends.

I have been working with Oakwood Electric & Generator for years. They've assisted me with multiple electrical jobs ranging from repairs and installations, to a new generator. Anything you can imagine relating to electric they are my go to company. On my most recent experience with them, I called for repair help and the owner came directly to my house that very day. If I could give them 7 stars I would! I'm always very impressed by the high caliber of the team's work. They are consistently polite, clean and respectful. Electrical repairs can be dangerous and they take their job very seriously, and I am confident that they know what they are doing. I highly recommend this amazing company!

Normally I wouldn't take the time to post a review like this, however I am so happy with Oakwood Electric & Generator that I wanted to share my experiences. Not only have I personally hired them for a project in my own home, but I have also referred them to many people, and used them through my business. They are the epitome of a family owned and operated company and I truly appreciate that. They go about their business the old fashioned way, and I know when I call their office I will be greeted directly by the owners. This husband and wife team exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend them to anyone!
