I have known Barbara for several years......Every one of the houses I saw she designed was truly a work of art....One house I remember was in St. Andrews Country Club....and I told everyone I could to view this house before it re-sold....It was so beyond it's time, it sold within weeks of the listing. I am a local realtor, and I asked Barbara to help me with paint colors on my personal home. Again she didn't think my job was too small, she created a warm feel inside my home, with lovely colors, high lighting my furnishings.

Barbara Cortney made design changes to our home in Florida and decorated it. She did a stunning job. Her eye to detail is terrific as is her focus and respect to her client's needs. She didn't miss s beat in my home. I get compliments every time someone walks into my house. And she is a lovely lady with s sense of purpose and humor. After all these years my home is still gorgeous even with some changes.

I've worked with Cortney on a number of High end projects. She is very creative and highly professional. Her clients have high expectations and Cortney delivers. She provides detailed renderings of her design plan so the client can visualize the completed project.

We hired Barbara Cortney Designs to help us with our move to a new home. We were downsizing and therefore had enough furniture to accommodate all our square footage. We found Cortney to be a pleasure to deal with; had a great eye for color coordination, and placement of furniture. Cortney took pictures of all our furniture before we moved, measured every piece, and made us a detailed diagram of the placement of every piece of furniture so that moving day was a little less stressful.

Barbara helped us when we moved into a new (to us) house in Highland Beach. We repainted the entire house and removed old wallpaper. She helped choose colors taking our taste into account. We also re-did one bathroom and powder room and changed the kitchen work surfaces. We also changed the flooring upstairs and re-carpeted one room and added built in furniture in the office and re-worked some existing bookshelves. She knew good suppliers and workmen and we were happy with all the results. She knew we had a budget and for the most part we were able to stay within the budget. She also worked with us on window treatments and new furniture , always being careful to try to incoroprate our existing furnishings where possible. I am very happy with the results and would recomend Barbara Cortney Designs
