Update: Problem returned. Looks like the previous "fix" was to just reset it somehow and not replace the mechanism. Update: problem resolved. Mechanism installed backwards. Horrible quality windows and doors. We spent over $21,000 to replace our windows and doors. 1. There was an internal scratch on one of the doors. 2. Most of the gasket trim fell off. The installer blamed the manufacturer. The manufacturer blamed the installer. They replaced it but it is falling off again. 3. One door we can not longer open. Completely locked up. I viewed a video online and the locks should line up vertically. They are all misaligned and will eventually lead to failure. 4. They left paper sticker residues on all of the doors and windows. Took many hours to clean.

The windows were leaking after about 5 years. And they're not fixing them because the warranty was from the previous owner. If windows can't last longer than that...I'd stay away from this company.

If you are looking for windows I implore you to look elsewhere. My window purchasing experience started off great but once I placed my order everything went south fast. The reason I looked into this company was because they were referred to me by my brother which he now regrets as he was flabbergasted by the sheer amount of errors and lack of ownership this company took for their errors. For being a window company they sure didn't know much about windows. To shed light on what I mean I shall now tell you my horror story. I met Juan Jacinto on 6/28/2018, who was a really easy going, in order to place my order of 22 windows for my home which was being rebuilt. Now, I had options to buy my windows with other companies which were $5K less but ultimately I made the decision to purchase through them because they had done jobs for my brother in the past with no issues. The windows which were recommended to me by Juan for my home were the Anlin DelMar windows. At the time I asked if these windows pass all CA codes since I will have inspections and he said yes. After placing the order Juan sent Mario, their measuring tech, to measure my opening which didn't make sense since they were just framed and I gave them the measurements verbally. They insisted that by sending a tech this will ensure no issues with the windows. In addition, I was told it would be 4-6 weeks for delivery but did not receive delivery until 9/13/2018. Once I finally received my windows I quickly realized things were not right. To give you an example: my rough window opening was 36x60 which means the windows should be ordered at 35.5x59.5 but this was not the case. The windows were sent at just an eight of an inch smaller than the rough opening. Let that sink in and if you miss it please read it again. They sent all of my windows an eight of an inch smaller than the rough opening making installation of these windows almost impossible. In addition, my patio doors, living room windows and kitchen windows were delivered with privacy glass which was not in the order. I quickly notified Juan who in turn notified his GM (Geoff), who then scheduled a meeting at my house along with their measuring tech Mario. When they arrived Juan was apologetic as he could see they were ordered wrong but their tech Mario decided to place the blame on my framer. How does this make sense? If you measured like you say you did Mario, even if my framer was off by an eight of an inch that wouldn't matter if the windows were ordered with the correct measurements. I could have canceled my order and sent all the windows back but I still wanted to give them a shot to make things right. They offered to switch out 7 windows out of the 22 and guaranteed that the other windows would not crack even though they went in tight. It would be another 2 months before they would show up with the correct windows on 11/2/2018 which they said they would place a rush on. Lastly, during inspection I found out that the DelMar windows are not egress windows which means the ones I had in the bedrooms did not pass code. So to pass code I would need to buy new windows!!!! This company and its employees were quick to blame me for all of the errors because I made a material only purchase instead of paying for their guys to install my windows. How is sending incorrect window sizes, glass and code issues my error? Even if I paid for their guys to install, the windows would have still been wrong!!! As a consumer they will not protect you but they will blame you for everything and don't expect any compensation on their end either. I hope my experience never occurs to anyone. as the windows were just installed today, I can only tell you that they did an excellent installation so for now only mediocre eval They were on time, quiet and clean. They did job in short time proscribed. windows look great!! Time will tell if they reduce sound and heat-cold transmission. My HOA is strict and the company was careful where they parked and verified with neighbors. Only thing I wish was that I could replace my garden window with no damage to all granite...!!??

American Vision did an outstanding job on replacing 11 windows for us. We'll do more in the near future. We obtained 3 bids and theirs was more realistic for our budget. Their follow up is excellent! Prices outstanding. Quality product equal or better to much higher priced competitors. Their installers were respectful and did a great job. They did a perfect clean up. We'll be ordering more from them in the next year.

Worked with American Vision Windows on some of the challenging projects. This includes creating larger openings and using a creative way to reinforce the structure for larger Windows/doors.

American Vision Windows was wonderful from beginning to end. I would recommend them to anyone (and have). We live in an Eichler (lots of wall-to-wall, celing-to-floor windows) and I expected to spend a LOT more for the windows than we did. (Unfortunately, 2 of the windows are too wide for AVW to do, so for those we've had to go to someone who does commercial windows

We had 5 windows replaced. They worked with our budget, were clean and professional, on time and effortless to work with. Great experience.

This is the 2nd time I've used American Vision Windows (the first to put in windows and doors and this time to put in more doors) and in both cases found them to be highly reliable, professional and highly skilled in their line of work. The staff was courteous, punctual and made sure that everything was covered that needed to be covered (furniture, etc) so there would be no damage or dirt and each day before they left they fully cleaned and vaccumed clean any dirt they made, even if they were coming back. They also stand by their work. Even after 2 years, they came back when there was a problem and stood by their guarantee without a hitch or struggle. I am and have been very pleased with American Vision in Simi Valley and would definately use them again if ever the need arrises.

Based on another professional's high recommendations, I met with and then ordered windows thru AVW and have been extremely satisfied and happy. They listened to my needs and based on their vast experience guided me to just what I wanted. And then 6 months later, I ordered even more windows from them again. Fantastic job both times.
