Reginald Dorce, was the engineer on this renovation project of a one-bedroom apartment in the West Village. He designed and upgraded a dated apartment to a bright, modern design with an open kitchen including a counter for sitting, light wood flooring, white marble bath, making it seem light and airy. He has a keen sense of style and design, is prompt and detailed and very professional. He was on schedule with all submissions and attentive to staying on budget. Any unexpected issues were brought to my attention in a very timely manner with positive suggestions. I would work with Mr. Dorce again and recommend him highly.

As I was facing a full one-bedroom apartment renovation, REGINALD DORCE was invaluable, bring to this year-long process a passion, excitement, curiosity and creative ideas in both the areas of ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES and INTERIOR DESIGN. Architectural renderings and construction schematics were masterful, satisfying my building’s architect and the NYC Department of Buildings with minimal issues, saving time and money. Reginald’s superlative interpersonal skills allowed him to listen to my requests and tastes, work with showroom representatives, explain design ideas, receive feedback, work in tandem with contractors, becoming a member of the team — an enthusiastic team! Reginald took this winning attitude plus the art of interior design and created a very special interior in my apartment space that demonstrates grace, style, continuity, through the use of textures, sight lines, colors but he kept a sense of my own individual stamp in my space. As we worked to pick out tiles, floor covering, bathroom fixtures, lamps and the like, Reginald was tireless, as he brought me sample after sample. As one who was terribly overwhelmed by the vast choices within interior design, Reginald balanced vendors, construction concerns, invoices, deliveries for me with the highest reliability. Generous with his time, setting a reasonable fee, Reginald brought “soul” into my apartment and made it a cozy and stunning place I call “home.”

I had a great experience working with Reginald. He is very attentive to detail. He took my input and came up with a design that matched my needs and expectations. We went from an old Victorian 3 bedroom/1 bath interior to a modern, open-space 2 bedroom/2 bath design. I'm now living /work in the space and the energy I receive from it is very satisfying. I am very pleased with my house masterplan. The design (a mountain retirement dwelling) fits its purpose. It is efficient, coherent, good looking, and modern. Architect Dorce is very detail oriented and committed to excellence. He took all aspects of my building into consideration, from the engineering structures, the tiles, the cabinets, the interior/exterior paint colors, to the landscaping. He followed up regularly with the building contractor. The project met my expectations at 100%. I will not hesitate to recommend this architect to anyone seeking a modern and quality designer for individual buildings. Project is within my budget.
