Architecture + Design is an award winning architectural firm, established in 1981, to provide a complete range of design services for new construction, preservation and adaptive re-use of structures. We provide focused personal service to creatively coach and guide our clients through the interesting and complex design and building process. We feel this conscious effort results in informed decision making, conserves historic resources and addresses the environmental issues facing the country. Our approach usually first includes evaluating the needs of our client to determine if an existing structure can fulfill their requirements. This is an attempt to always first utilize the embodied energy that exists, before using more. Preserving an existing building with an effective new use is the sincerest form of sustainability.
