Assel is an award-winning interior designer with nearly two decades of experience in the industry. Now based in West Palm Beach Florida, Assel grew up in an artistic family in New York City and is fluent in English, Russian and Kazakh. She holds a degree in Interior Design from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Assel has an impressive past experience. She has worked on high end residential and hotel interior design projects for both private and corporate clients including Hilton, Marriot, Ritz Carlton and One & Only. Her work has taken her around the world, with involvement in projects in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Dubai, as well as throughout the USA. Assel has a passion for travel and takes inspiration for much of her design work from the art, fashion and architecture she has encountered around the globe. She describes successful design as “ a sort of language that allows you to bring to life the best possible use for a space”. Her creative flair is matched by her business skills. She has extensive experience in managing complex and big budget interior design projects, with responsibility for code compliance, procurement and contract management.
