I have worked with Alex on 2 projects and was very pleased with both results. The first was complete kitchen and bathroom remodel. The second was a bathroom remodel and replacement of flooring (from carpet to vinal flooring )throughout the house. Both projects came in at or under budget and on time! His craftsmanship is superb (builds his own cabinets) and he cares deeply about providing quality. His crew is very competent and trustworthy. He always talked through the project from the beginning and really listened to what I wanted; but he also offered very helpful suggestions that I found very meaningful. Alex is very competent, creative, and communicative. He is a man of integrity and a consummate professional. I trust him completely and would work with him anytime!!

I hired Slarve Construction to perform a complete interior remodel of my home. Alex came to our first meeting prepared with a sample contract as well as what to expect from his process, including a Gantt chart indicating timelines for expected components of work that was equally reflected in the payment schedule. His clear communication, attention to detail, and strong project management skills were clear from the first day. We signed a contract soon after. As we were remodeling our entire home, there were many design decisions to be made. Alex and Lindsay gave us great resources for tile, countertops, and finishes throughout. They were able to understand our style well and provided feedback to help us stay within the budget and allowance range, and still end up with our dream home. The work performed was immaculate. You could see the level of craftsmanship of the Slarve construction crew at every stage. Even the framing looked beautiful. These details matter a lot for us as our minimalist aesthetic leaves no room for error. Each tile in the kitchen and bathrooms were placed perfectly. The cabinets in the kitchen are gorgeous with a place for everything. Even hanging the TV was done to the perfect level for viewing from the sofa. Despite challenges in supply chains, labor shortages, and all the typical pitfalls of construction during 2021, Alex planned well to get ahead of any issues, ensuring items were ordered early and ready to install, and that people were available for construction at every stage. When the inevitable challenge came up, Alex communicated effectively to us and found thoughtful solutions. In some cases, these solutions ended up better than what was originally planned. In the end, Alex completed the project on budget and as close to schedule as would have ever been possible. I don't think anyone else could have done a better job. I will be hiring Alex again for any future construction project.

We had the pleasure of working with Slarve Construction on our recent home addition. We expanded a bedroom into a master suite, added a master bath, built a new garage and a patio with a deck off the bedroom. On top of everything else we signed our contract when the Covid pandemic was just getting underway! Alex Slarve was a true professional and very easy to work with. He actually listened to our needs and found a way to make our project work within our means. His attention to detail, patience, and quality of work are truly 1st class. His crew was personable and respectful and we enjoyed having them on our property. They treated our home as if it was their own. We carried out this project with two small kids and they happily accommodated our schedule and needs. Alex has a lot of connections in the industry which increased the quality of our project and saved money in our budget. The result was a beautiful, well built addition. . We’ve hired Slarve Construction for 5 separate projects including a full kitchen remodel, a fireplace mantel, a custom walnut bench, a custom grain matched walnut master bathroom vanity and a new front porch deck. In every instance the project was completed on time and within budget. The attention to detail and craftsmanship are top notch. Alex is an excellent communicator and kept us up to date at all times on where we were in the project and what to expect next. His team was always very respectful and we felt comfortable having them in our home. We really appreciated the transparency when it came to pricing—it was nice to know up front how much everything was going to cost and how our money was being spent at each phase of the project. Honest, beautiful work, on time, responsible, did most of design and architect was not necessary because of Alex. The contract was realistic and fair. I am so happy we chose Alex for our kitchen/living room remodel. He completed the project on the timeline and stayed within the budget. Beyond that, he was really great to work with. Communication is huge when going through a remodel and Alex was very responsive to phone calls and emails, enthusiastic about our project, and open to ideas and changes. I completely trust his judgement. At various points throughout the project he made suggestions and modifications to our plans that made a lot of sense and we were happy to incorporate. He is passionate about what he does and it shows. We will definitely hire him again.

Slarve Construction was the best choice for our home bathroom project. The crew was always prompt, excellent craftmanship and always left the area tidy. Alex was easy to work with. He had great insight and was very helpful during a stressful time. I will certainly use him on future projects.

Alex and his team are impressive craftsmen. He's got an eye for detail and willingness to stretch his skills to accomplish something special and unique. As a builder, I have found that finding talent is not as difficult as finding them to be reliable. Alex is reliable. Once we were working on a tight timeline and I accidentally leaned over him and cracked open a can of black spray paint that exploded all over a mantel he'd just finished and was ready to install. He stayed late and all day Sunday to re-finish it and have it installed by the Monday deadline! Another time, I brought him to a client of mine during an extensive remodel. The client wanted something special as an accent piece in their master bedroom and showed Alex an Instagram photo of their inspiration. Within a few days, Alex created a scale drawing of their photo and the client gave the green light. The door turned out exactly as planned and the clients were ecstatic. Alex's skills made my clients happy and me look good. Overall, Alex has a genuine interest and excitement for building. It shows. I've used Alex and his team many times in the past. Alex has always been hardworking and honest with all the jobs he's done on our home. We have an older home that has a lot of deferred maintenance and Alex has been able to fix a lot of the issues we've had throughout our home! He's definitely our go-to guy on any of our house remodel and repair work in the future!

In 2015 we were rebuilding our house after a fire and wanted a large custom dining room table. Alex was referred to us by our general contractor at the time. Alex has a wonderful word working skill set and was able to design and build an incredible table which is now a centerpiece in our home. Alex is highly professional, paid attention to our specific requests and communicated in detail throughout the process. We hired Alex and his team for a second time in 2017 when a concrete contractor for our outdoor patio left us high and dry. Alex was able to come into a project that was half baked, rescue it and deliver a second striking centerpiece to our home...an outdoor kitchen and entertaining area. With the concrete in place, Alex and team were able to design and construct the bases for our outdoor cabinetry and countertop, install the grill, side burner and sink. During the install of the center island granite he quickly noticed that the granite cutter had not cut the piece to our specifications, halted the install and had a new piece of granite ready within a week. After being in home design and construction off and on for almost four years at this point we had seen our share of mishaps, errors and expectations not met with a variety of service providers. It's to be expected, and shouldn't be an issue. It was the service providers that took those issues in stride, said "no problem, we'll get it right" that stood out. The saying about life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it applies here. Alex was most certainly one of those service providers, that didn't flinch, didn't makes excuses, didn't cast blame or point fingers. He just focused his energy on getting it right which I can't thank him enough for. Alex and his team will deliver a beautiful product with outstanding professionalism.
