Akron Glass Tinting

I had Akron Glass Tinting install a film on the new full-glass storm door for my house that faces west. The sun is amplified by the glass in this door, and the heat it generates on sunny, warm days is terrible. Akron Glass Tinting installed the best, most heat-resistant film possible without turning the door into a giant mirror. I waited several months after the installation to write this review, just because I needed to wait for warm, sunny weather (in Ohio!) for my assessment to be valid in some way. The installation was perfect. Any personnel I dealt with were professional and helpful, and the film was done flawlessly. In all honesty, the film does a very good job at reducing the heat. It doesn't make the house door cool, but it reduces the heat enough that the situation is now bearable. This is the reality of a house that faces west. My only other option would be to have them install the mirrored film, which they offered to do at no additional cost in the event that the film I chose weren't sufficient. I want the main door to remain visible, so this solution is the best compromise. The extra months of waiting to write this have shown that the installation of the film has held up just fine. No bubbles, no peeling film, no problems at all. At any rate, I recommend Akron Glass Tinting. They know what they are doing, and the price was reasonable for a job done by pros.

Al came to our home and my husband and I had some ideas, but many questions about the product. Al gave a great explanation and a detailed information for the levels of glass tinting that we could have. We discussed quality, durability and price. We didn't feel that he was pushing for this or that. It was our choice after learned about it. We are very happy and we already felt the difference the temperature in our great room. A friend suggested that I needed film on my windows to reduce sun damage and glare. We tried doing it ourselves on one window. Not a professional job but it did convince me that I wanted this on all my windows. I researched 3M film and found Akron Glass Tinting. Al and Dev were extremely helpful. They asked detailed questions about my needs and made suggestions. I chose two different types of film for the front and back of the house. The installers were efficient and courteous. I love my windows now. After a few months I noticed on one window in the kitchen that there appeared to be lint beneath the film right at the lower edge. When I called Dev, she came out to see it and said they would replace it. Now that's a 100% guarantee!

I had 3M film installed on non eglass large windows of a roughly 8' x 20' area with a southern exposure. The results were immediately obvious. I am very pleased with the work and product.

During the initial consultation, Al Mothersbaugh showed an extensive knowledge about his product and the general area of window covering. We pushed him more than many probably do, but he stayed with our concerns, answered questions and when we couldn't figure out which of the various products we wanted left us with large "scraps" that we could see over a longer period. We ended haveing them do window treatments on a room with some seven sliding door windows as well as another room where several windows were treated with a shade product. The installers were professional, very good at their job and friendly in a professional manner. We've already recommended Akron Glass to one of our friends and would use them without question for any future window treatment.

Installed film on nearly all windows in rear of my home. Excellent work, and the film has done its job. Installers were great. Everything done per the estimate and scope of work. We were extremely pleased with the overall job and the product installed.
