Abbey Carpet & Floor

I have been using Abby Carpet for many years and will continue to go back. They do beautiful professional work every time all the time. Recently we had a large kitchen floor completed. The grout started to crack and come out. I phoned them and they took care of it at no extra cost. The owner informed me they do not have a limited warranty and if we have any additional issues with the floor to call him again. I will always use Abby Carpet! They always exceed our expectations.

Unfortunately I did not seek advice about flooring contractors before starting our first floor project in January 2018. If I did I would have quickly found out that Abbey has one of the worst reputations in the Beaver County area. Now unfortunately I am paying for it. Within a few months after finishing the project, grout started popping up all over the place. They came and looked at it and after telling us it was one thing they eventually blamed it on the subfloor and agreed to replace it. The job was rescheduled for August and was supposed to take two weeks. We are now at the end of week six and the end is still nowhere in sight. They assured us in the middle of week six that they would be complete by the end of the week and they would work the weekend to assure that it would happen. I just visited the house at 7:00pm on Saturday (we have had to live at a different place since this has been going on because the house is practically uninhabitable) and nothing was done today. Because they are having to eat the cost for a job poorly done in the first place they are basically taking their good old time replacing the floor and continually lying to us throughout the process. The lesson learned is don’t let perceived convenience or a good price sucker you into using Abbey because it will likely cost you more in the long run.
