A Cut Above Painting

We hired Clayton and Kelly to paint the walls, ceilings and trim of our entire 4 bedroom house. Their quote was the best of the 4 Ottawa painting services we met with. On top of being skilled, meticulous and professional, they were amazingly efficient and sensitive to not disrupt the day-to-day life of our family despite our very large paint job. We are beyond thrilled with the finished product. We will hire them when we decide to paint the exterior of our house because they are so easy to work with and clearly take pride in producing superior results. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

They were courteous and professional in our dealings, planned and executed the painting of our porches and barn well, and left the site clean at the end of each day's work. I needed exterior painting done on the upper level of my home and on the garage doors/trim. I contacted three companies for quotes. A Cut Above Painting provided me with a thorough estimate and description of work to be done which included scraping loose paint, removing debris and applying two coats of paint. The price quoted to me was not the lowest nor was it the highest of the three companies I contacted but in my opinion it was a fair and reasonable price. I chose A Cut Above Painting based on previous reviews, their BBB standing and my own instinct that they would do the job properly. I was not disappointed! Clayton and Kelly are friendly, professional and reliable. All questions were answered quickly and honestly. I wanted the new paint to be matched to my front door color and provided them with the color swatch. They matched the colors perfectly! They protected my shrubbery and were very careful to not get any paint on areas it was not intended to be. No drips! They were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. All communication with A Cut Above Painting was prompt and direct. If you need painting done I highly recommend this company. I will use them again for all my painting needs.

My wife and I have hired A Cut Above Painting 4 times over the last 2 years (3 times indoor work and once for staining a deck). Clayton and Kelly are great painters and have always done great work for us. They show up on time, they are excellent communicators by phone/email/text, they stick to their quoted prices and are flexible enough to allow modifications to the work scope as late as the night before (sorry guys, sometimes ideas pop up last minute). Hire these guys, you won't regret it.

Kelly and Clayton are two very professional painters who value their work and it clearly shows on their execution of their work. They were punctual, efficient and their attention to detail was more than I have ever seen in a very long time. They cover all your furniture and fixtures and cleanup your house once all done. In the midst of a large kitchen and main floor renovation… we selected A Cut Above to paint the all the work under construction and more. Words aren’t enough to convey the quality of workmanship and professionalism. Clayton and Kelly are high end painters that treat the quality of their work as if it was their own home. Too many times contractors and trades don’t’ care about their work… it was refreshing to know that there are skilled people willing to do the job right the first time! From providing a detailed quote (which only took 1 day compared to others taking more than week); to the outline of the job (number of coats of paint, what is going to be painted (from doors to trim to ceilings to closets); to the cleanup each day.
