Robert McAlister Cabinetmaker

We did a complete kitchen renovation (down to studs) and Robert McAlister was an integral part of the project. Not only did he custom make and install our beautiful cabinets but he also assisted me with important decision making regarding the remodel. I was acting as my own general contractor and he advised me on a number of issues including layout, design and functionality. He has an extensive knowledge of the home building industry. What stands out the most about Robert is his attention to detail -- he is a perfectionist -- a desirable trait for a cabinetmaker. He is also thorough and honest. I plan to use him on my next project.

Robert was a real professional. He designed lower and upper glass cabinets for a bar area with drawers, wine rack and cut out for small refrigerator. He gave me a drawing of exactly what I asked for. We discussed a few changes which he completed quickly with a quote. He was able to match my existing kitchen cabinets which are 8 years old. This is the second home for which we hired Robert McAlister to design/build our cabinetry. After working with him and using the cabinets he made in our last home, we insisted that our general contractor allow us to use him again. His team's work is exceptional and beyond compare. He took my "ideas" and "inspiration photos" and brought them to a new level. The tiniest details were accounted for and no surprises were encountered. Bob worked fluidly with our general contractor's team all of the way through framing and finishes addressing all concerns to make sure that our kitchen, bathrooms and other built-ins were exactly as we wanted. The finishes were applied at a special finish contractor off-site giving us a much better finish than could have been applied on site with the added benefit of no construction delays due to finish workers. True "hand made" cabinetry melded with 21st century methods and techniques and an honest, likable team.
