5 Star Cabinets

Amir at 5-Star cabinets is no one I would ever work with again. I had an experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I'm a very patient person that understands the challenges that come with construction, but I was treated with such disrespect and lied to from the beginning. It was the worst experience I've ever had with anyone in any type of business. It's been 6 1/2 months and our kitchen remains incomplete. There are so many reputable companies in the LA and Ventura County areas I'd move right past 5-Star Cabinets and 5-Star Kitchen and Bath! His actions with us and so many others is criminal. Please be aware 5-Star is not licensed to do any installation so when he says a completed kitchen for $17k.....be aware, that doesn't include installation of cabinets OR countertops that we paid for. He knows exactly how to write the contract to through off the client. We paid $2100 for installation to 5-Star he (Amir) said that was only for "templet". Omg! So we had to pay a wonderful company to fabricate and install our stone for us for an additional $1900. We never recieved our upgraded cabinet doors (that were going to be a surprise for me) and had to choose our countertop twice because he never paid for them the 1st time. This entire experience has been awful and so unnecessary.

Very nice place to find the best cabinets. They do their deliveries in in time and they handle all the deliveries with a lot of care. The prices here are friendly and negotiable

I got the recommendation to try this company from my father in law. I decided to give it a try and I super happy that I did. They achieved the look I wanted for my kitchen. My kitchen was updated but now thanks to them it looks great! I highly recommend them because they're prpfessional and they took the time to. Do the job right

I was thinking of remodeling my home a few months back. The house belonged to my grandma so I wanted to keep the antique feel. I came across 5 Star Cabinets when I was shopping for cabinets and I am so glad I decided to go with their services. Everything is exactly as I had pictured. 5 Star Cabinets truly deserve a 5 star rating.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! Nothing but headaches. We paid 16k in full for our mostly finished kitchen. We were asked to put 80% down which seemed pretty dodgy. The legality of this is questionable. Many issues were left unfinished: -Drill hole mistakes exposed and others covered with stickers. We need new cabinet boxes. -Undersides of cabinets with plywood edges unfinished. We need this finished. -Lazy susan won't turn because it hits the door hinges. -Frosted glass cabinet doors NEVER showed up. This was an important design element to us. -The dishwasher is mounted crooked and needs to be re-installed. The communication and scheduling was completely unprofessional, often leaving us waiting for responses and wondering if someone was going to show up. There were constant no shows and rescheduling while we had taken time off of work to be available during the installation that made this a terrible experience. I called the contractor they are using to get a fire lit and the project still took a full three weeks instead of the 10 day install window. This got me a text from Amir telling me not to complain to "10 other people" when something was wrong. Mind you there was a 30 day lead time so everything could be built and ordered. It's now been two months and we still have issues that will need to be fixed by someone else After seeing the online reviews my partner had posted, Amir promised to fix everything that was wrong (except the poor quality Quartz countertops that are really Corian that cost us 3k) Then... -Amir messaged he wouldn't fix anything until the reviews were removed. -Accused us of being racist because the reviews were harming his business. -Threatened a mechanic lien against our property for the "free" sink, faucet and handles in our invoice. Saying that we now owe him for these items. -Threatened to leave bad personal reviews on us as customers This is not professional. This is not what we paid for. Bad business practices earned the bad reviews. And bullying has earned this one. We have contacted the Contractors State Licensing Board to file a complaint as well as the Better Business Bureau over this matter.

This is a review for my kitchen cabinet remodel with 5-Star Cabinets. Our Project Manager was Amir (Alex) Solati from 5-Star Cabinets and their install Contractor was Hassan Amin-Ghazaei. 1. We ordered our cabinets and accessories 30 days before our scheduled install date. We did not receive a warranty. We were required to put down 80% upon order. We later learned from the CSLB only 10% down is required upon delivery and 90% upon completion. We also learned that we needed a formal contract, which we did not receive. Do not pay more than 10% and make sure you get a formal written contract. And, do not pay cash. Amir will offer you that option. 2. Delivery: We were told our cabinets and accessories would be delivered on a Monday from 9-11am. I messaged at 3pm asking for an update as no one had called or arrived. I was told they would arrive at 7:30pm. I receive a phone call at 7:15pm that our items would be delivered at 12pm on Tuesday. I messaged on Tuesday morning confirming 12pm and was informed they could not guarantee that delivery time. At 12pm, I receive a call that they cabinets would be delivered at 4pm. They finally arrived at 5pm. Several items were missing; 2 sets of frosted glass doors, the door/drawer handles, the cabinet shelves, the pantry unit, 1 set of cabinet drawers, toe kicks, lazy susan, kitchen sink and faucet. Throughout the project, items were slowly delivered. Near the very end of the project, we were not informed that our pantry drawer unit and all of the cabinet shelves were being delivered. They dropped off the items at our front door and left. Upon calling Amir, he deemed this to not be an issue! My partner had to turn around while commuting to work to go home and move everything inside to prevent being damaged from the sun and/or stolen. At the end of the project, we did not receive our frosted glass doors (after being told several times they would be delivered). 3. Install: We were told that our project install would start on 8/1/18 and end on 8/10/18. The project was completed on 8/18/18 and several items still need resolved. Week 1: the installer arrived on 8/1/18 and installed the cabinet boxes, panels and doors. We had an issue where the cabinets were off due to the lack of proper measurements for the dishwasher space as well as a hole had not been drilled for the dishwasher water supply. 2" of unpolished concrete was exposed. We also noticed that several of the doors were damaged. We had to argue with Amir to have the cabinets moved over instead of installing a waterfall countertop or a 2" panel that would not match the opposite end cabinet. We were told at that time we were "being picky". The following day, a gentleman arrived to measure the countertop. Week 2: The installer arrived a week later on 8/8/18. The cabinets were moved over properly. The pantry unit was built and was 5" too high. We also noticed an issue where the installer did not properly flush the cabinets and corner. The toe-kicks were installed. A gentleman arrived on Thursday to install countertop, sink and faucet. Upon asking for the delivery of missing items and work that needed to be completed (Amir told me I was being "demanding" because I was concerned with the rescheduling), we were assured our project would be completed that Friday. The installer did not arrive. A few pieces of wood had been delivered. Week 3: We were assured that the remaining missing items would be delivered and project would be completed on Wednesday 8/15/18. The installer did not arrive until 7pm and left at 9pm. He installed the 2 drawers in a cabinet. My partner and I called Hassan with concerns that the project was not being completed and several items were missing that still needed to be delivered. We received an email from Amir that the installers would be arriving at 8:30am on Saturday, 8/18/18. On Friday evening, we received an email that the 8:30am was being rescheduled to 2pm. Amir and installers arrived. The project was completed at 9:30pm that evening. Several mistakes with the cabinets had to be resolved as well as completing items that needed done. 4. Communication: Every appointment that was made, was rescheduled. Upon reaching out for updates, we would not get a response. My partner and I took off several days of work to sit at home and hope someone would show up to deliver items or to complete work. 5. Conclusion: I would not recommend. We have stickers covering drill hole mistakes on our $16,000 cabinets! We have remaining items that need resolved. The dishwasher was mounted crooked. We are unable to use the lazy susan. We need to order frosted glass doors. We need to have the bottom of the top cabinets finished due to the panels, natural wood and white box are exposed. We need to have the garbage disposal re-installed due that the caulk/sealer used is being degraded from the water. The cabinet above the microwave has splintered wood from 3 drilled holes mistakes. We attempted to message Amir and he did not respond to confirm when he would be back. Due to the lack of communication and every appointment being rescheduled as well as the lack of project organization, we are going to have to a pay a contractor to resolve what we need finished.

I can't say enough good things about 5 Star Cabinets, their amazing staff and the recommended contractors who work with them! First of all, the cabinets were very affordable, and the quality speaks for itself. Jonathan designed our kitchen and managed to work around all our structural obstacles. The attention to detail, and pride in the workmanship was really reassuring to us. He patiently answered a million questions, and when I lost my contractor early in the job, Buddy had a phone full of contacts to help me finish our house. Our kitchen cabinets were installed yesterday, and everything came out the way we were hoping for. We are amazed by the quality and design, 5 Star transformed our house! During this entire remodel we found ourselves in a lot of anxious moments however, 5 Star Cabinets made this a great experience.

We went and explored more than five cabinet stores for our kitchen and finally selected 5-STAR cabinets for our kitchen remodel. We were not to be disappointed and felt very satisfied with the service that they provided us. The owner Alex is very attentive and provides really good customer service, personally coming to our home to ensure that the installation was going well. He took care of all our needs and we had a very smooth installation. I would strongly suggest them. They have great designs and the price is unbeatable- seriously!

We went with 5-Star when it came time for us to move to the kitchen portion of our house renovation. Their service was impressive and made me feel good about going with them since I'm fairly new to the area and didn't have any personal recommendations. Setting up an appointment was pretty easy, I contacted them by phone and was asked a series of basic questions so they could give me a ballpark number of the cost. The cost ended up being much less than I expected and before I knew it, a serviceman from 5-Star was in my kitchen measuring and redoing the cabinets and they turned out GREAT! They did such an awesome job and we'll definitely keep them on hand in case we need any other renovations done.

5star did an amazing job on my kitchen cabinets. They helped me in my color selection and worked quickly and efficiently. I love how everything turned out and would definitely use 5star again.
