Eric, 612 Design's owner, is a good salesperson and marketer. That does not mean you should trust him with your remodel project. Our project proceeded in spite of 612 Design's involvement, not because of it, and the value we got for our money was poor. Eric uses nonlocal contract designers who are not set up for success. Our designer was competent and professional but never saw the inside of our space. Initially, we were not permitted to contact her directly, causing delays and miscommunication during a design process that required a significant revision due to a measurement error by Eric. Eric himself was increasingly difficult to reach as our project progressed and left it to Paige, his office manager and the only other member of the 612 Design "team" who appears to work regular hours for the company, to address issues that he should have addressed himself and avoid difficult conversations. Our rating would be lower were it not for two saving graces: - The final design was good despite the bumpy process. - Paige is a strong employee who works well under pressure. She'd be a credit to any team. Bottom line: We do not recommend working with 612 Design. Plenty of other design firms offer the same product alongside a better customer experience at a lower price point.

We remodeled our kitchen and most of our first floor with 612 Design and we are absolutely thrilled with the result. We interviewed a number of other contractors and designers and Eric was the only one who immediately had ideas for the space. He responded with a detailed estimate within 24 hours and was ready to start right away. He helped us negotiate the best prices on our appliances and materials and offered detailed quotes from subcontractors for every part of the project. Eric was also incredibly responsive - he would answer calls, texts and emails immediately. Obviously no project is without issues but he was constantly looking for ways to keep costs down while still delivering a high-end result. I think most importantly, he is able to get a good read for the homeowner’s style so you don’t have to make every single decision (he knows what works and more importantly, what doesn’t). We will be using Eric again for our bathroom remodeling projects and have already recommended him to friends and family.

I was introduced to Eric Carter for my home remodeling project in Minneapolis, which included a kitchen, two bathrooms and my entire home. Eric convinced me that he could do a wonderful job for me, and as it turned out, he delivered the most beautiful place for me overlooking Lake Calhoun. He works with nothing but the best subcontractors, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Eric handled the entire project design and installation of everything that needed to be done with great detail. The workmanship was always first class and they did such an outstanding job and gave me the most beautiful place that I could ever imagine. The compliments I receive are never ending. And I would highly recommend Eric to anyone interested in remodeling their home as you can rest assured he will deliver what he promises – and he will give you a finished product that everyone will love and a home you can be proud of. I could never have imagined doing this without someone like Eric to follow through with everything that needed to be done, as I didn’t have the time to spend dealing with this enormous project.
