Karen Goodale Design

I used Karen of Karen Goodale Design to help me out of my mired main floor bungalow painting and kitchen renovation. I had a very hard time picking out appropriate colours and pulling everything together with respect to countertops, tiling, furniture, area carpets, etc. Thank you, Karen! Was very easy to work with every time we met, always gave me options all while accommodating my personal needs and wants. Would use her services again. I think the basement is calling.

Definitely recommend Karen! She takes your thoughts/ideas and turns them into a masterpiece. She does her best to stay within your budget without compromising the end result. Love my house :)

Karen was fantastic in helping me to pull together a living space and design that I love. Her idea's, design talent and dedication to making sure everything was done well and looked great was amazing. She worked around my crazy schedule so that the renovation would not be an unmanageable inconvenience. I would definitely recommend this extremely talents and nice lady to anyone who is like me and needs help to design a beautiful space. She always checked in with me on budget to make sure everything worked well for me. Not only is she extremely good at her job she is also very easy to work with.

Karen is very nice and friendly. I browsed several designers' portfolios and decided to go with Karen since I liked her style, and from there, everything was a bliss. Karen was detailed-oriented and at every step of the design process she always had her client's interest in mind. It was a pleasure to have her as my designer.

Karen is a real professional. A good listener. Excellent at reaching compromises on family differences. Karen has an excellent sense of colour and design. She was able to pull together the disparate elements in our condominium to produce an excellent final product.

Karen Goodale was absolutely fantastic to deal with. She helped pick out the perfect backsplash for my kitchen. She was very patient and respectful of my style decisions. She suggested what woul and woul not be a good choice. She was also there to ensure the installers knew what to do. She made sure to check in with me everyday until the project was completed to my satisfaction. I will definitely engage her for other renovations to my house!

I received Karen's contact information from a mutual friend. I contacted her and within a week we sat down to discuss ideas. She then created a detailed plan as well as visuals for me to choose what I like and did not like. From that she had options of various large items (bed frame, table, couch etc.) for me to choose from so that they could be ordered and arrive on time. She allowed me to be involved as much or as little as I wanted to be for the remaining purchases. She would email or text me pictures so I could make a quick decision. She would pay for everything and then she would invoice me regularly. She then organized everything to be moved in and she set everything up. I didn't move a thing! The overall experience was great. I didn't have to worry about the minor details as I knew it was getting looked after by Karen. The end result was fantastic and I still receive great feedback from people that visit my place. I gave Karen a budget and she hit the budget mark. I honestly think if I were to have gone at furnishing my place alone that I would have spent more money with a less desirable outcome. I first contacted Karen about a year ago based on the reviews I had read on Houzz. It was a great experience from our first meeting. Karen helped me with my living room, dining room and master bedroom. We started the project by first painting the entire home. Karen helped with the colour selection and putting me in touch with a painter who did a remarkable job. Karen helped me choose colours and fabrics for my windows in the living room and bedroom. She has great resources and we chose some beautiful carpeting that were custom made into area rugs. I found that Karen is well respected by her suppliers and they work well together. She organized the design and production of a bed cover and a head board that were stunning. Karen always kept her appointments, was prompt and didn't waste time. One of the best things about Karen is the way she takes care of concerns. One of the area rugs wouldn't lay flat and was buckled around the trim. She took care of having the problem resolved and kept me updated on the progress. She is reliable, thorough and pays attention to every detail. I look forward to my next project with Karen.
