We updated this dreary brown bathroom by re-surfacing the hardwood floors, updating the base and case, new transitional door in black, white cabinetry with drawers, all in one sink and counter, dual flush toilet, gold plumbing, fun drop light, circle mirror, gold and white wall covering, and gold with marble hardware!

Powder room walls are enhanced with panel moulding and Carrera marble tile; luxury mosaic of Turkish gray, Thassos, and Carrera marble provides visual interest for the floor; glass-beaded ceiling wall covering was fabricated by Maya Romanoff; powder room was created by remodeling a former full bath and relocating its entrance off of foyer

This project was not only full of many bathrooms but also many different aesthetics. The goals were fourfold, create a new master suite, update the basement bath, add a new powder bath and my favorite, make them all completely different aesthetics. Primary Bath-This was originally a small 60SF full bath sandwiched in between closets and walls of built-in cabinetry that blossomed into a 130SF, five-piece primary suite. This room was to be focused on a transitional aesthetic that would be adorned with Calcutta gold marble, gold fixtures and matte black geometric tile arrangements. Powder Bath-A new addition to the home leans more on the traditional side of the transitional movement using moody blues and greens accented with brass. A fun play was the asymmetry of the 3-light sconce brings the aesthetic more to the modern side of transitional. My favorite element in the space, however, is the green, pink black and white deco tile on the floor whose colors are reflected in the details of the Australian wallpaper. Hall Bath-Looking to touch on the home's 70's roots, we went for a mid-mod fresh update. Black Calcutta floors, linear-stacked porcelain tile, mixed woods and strong black and white accents. The green tile may be the star but the matte white ribbed tiles in the shower and behind the vanity are the true unsung heroes.

This powder room was relocated from its original spot, still basically in the kitchen, but now, in a more sensible spot (just off the patio doors, which is handy for people coming in from the pool) And how much fun is blue bubble tile?? The frosted transom window above the door allows natural light to get into the tiny room without having to turn the lights on.

The old wine bar took up to much space and was out dated. A new refreshed look with a bit of bling helps to add a focal point to the room. The wine bar and powder room are adjacent to one another so creating a cohesive, elegant look was needed. The wine bar cabinets are glazed, distressed and antiqued to create an old world feel. This is balanced with iridescent tile so the look doesn't feel to rustic. The powder room is marble using different sizes for interest, and accented with a feature wall of marble mosaic. A mirrored tile is used in the shower to complete the elegant look.

This new powder room was carved from existing space within the home and part of a larger renovation. Near its location in the existing space was an ensuite bedroom that was relocated above the garage. The clients have a love of natural elements and wanted the powder room to be generous with a modern and organic feel. This aesthetic direction led us to choosing a soothing paint color and tile with earth tones and texture, both in mosaic and large format. A custom stained floating vanity offers roomy storage and helps to expand the space by allowing the entire floor to be visible upon entering. A stripe of the mosaic wall tile on the floor draws the eye straight to the window wall across the room. A unique metal tile border is used to separate wall materials while complimenting the pattern and texture of the vanity hardware. This future rental property has been completely refurbished with a newly constructed extension. Bespoke joinery, lighting design and colour scheme were carefully thought out to create a sense of space and elegant simplicity to appeal to a wide range of future tenants.
