Rustic Modern Kitchen Open to Dining Room and Family Room
When the wall separating the kitchen and dining room was lifted the entire space immediately felt lighter. The fireplace that separated the dining room from the family room immediately became a focal point for the entire room. Rustic wood beams were used on the ceiling to add some visual interest and also were used for structural support. A dark stained cherry was used on the island and it was paired with rough sawn european oak on the majority of the perimeter of the space. The oak veneer is grained match and finished in a natural stain.
