An awkward corner where a wall and chimney had been removed to open up to dining area. The bold colors of the backsplash help to define the kitchen area and tie it in with the opposite wall and rest of the kitchen space. The mosaic was created using the same tiles of the backsplash as well as a few more colors for design.
