Positioned at the base of Camelback Mountain this hacienda is muy caliente! Designed for dear friends from New York, this home was carefully extracted from the Mrs’ mind. She had a clear vision for a modern hacienda. Mirroring the clients, this house is both bold and colorful. The central focus was hospitality, outdoor living, and soaking up the amazing views. Full of amazing destinations connected with a curving circulation gallery, this hacienda includes water features, game rooms, nooks, and crannies all adorned with texture and color. This house has a bold identity and a warm embrace. It was a joy to design for these long-time friends, and we wish them many happy years at Hacienda Del Sueño. Photographer: Jeff Johnson Third-time repeat clients loved our work so much, they hired us to design their Ohio home instead of recruiting a local Ohio designer. All work was done remotely except for an initial meeting for site measure and initial consult, and then a second flight for final installation. All 6,000 square feet was decorated head to toe by J Hill Interiors, Inc., as well as new paint and lighting.

2011 Dream Room Winner On the windows we used cornice boards covered in a damask patterned fabric and attached honey-colored silk drapery panels inspired by grand European pillars. These treatments were ideal for framing the picturesque outside view. We selected a luxurious, golden-colored sofa with a large tone-on-tone damask pattern, an upholstered armchair and a fauteuil, creating a sophisticated, old world feel. A dark wooden cocktail table and side tables with cabriole legs completed the seating arrangement. We chose a variety of accessories in rich gold-tones, accented by robin’s egg blues with gray undertones and terra cotta shades, echoing the colors of many Italian scenes.

This homeowner asked me to create elegance and intimacy in this large cathedral space. We love the calm layers of white and vanilla combined with beautiful black baby grand piano. Matching acrylic torchieres and palm trees add the perfect finishing touch. Design and photo by Connie Tschantz

Diane LaLonde Hasso of Faux-Real, LLC designed two original ceiling finishes for this open concept condo space. The space is divided into several spaces, a sun room, living room, dining area and kitchen. The Sun Room and Living Room ceilings both have original finishes in neutral custom colors and soft all over textures.
