Coordinating built-ins and mantle frame the fireplace and create a seamless look with the white kitchen cabinetry. A combination of glass and mirrored mullion doors are used throughout the space to create a spacious, airy feel. The mirrored mullions also worked as a way to accent and conceal the large paneled refrigerator. The vaulted ceilings with darkly stained trusses and unique circular ceiling molding applications set this design apart as a true one-of-a-kind home. After photo depicts restored limestone fireplace topped with French trumeau mirror on gilt-trimmed walls. Adorning the walls on both sides of the fireplace are French chalk drawings of Parisien scenes. Dressing the windows are English linen drapes with trim. Two bergere chairs and linen Chesterfield sofa with tapestry pillows provide enough seating for comfortable entertaining. Behind the sofa is an antique hand painted, leather topped French desk perfect for drinks or light paperwork.

We creatively extended this property enormously using considered space planning. The owners' style for this country residence was to lean considerably on the luxurious textures of a ultra high-end ski chalet. The family area flows through to the Kitchen dining at the far end.

This client's goal for this Michigan cottage living room was to creatively disguise the television when not in use. These custom barn doors slide open over the shelving to reveal the t.v. Pocket doors on left and right of the fireplace house the a/v components and are also hidden when not in use.

A seating area just beyond the kitchen diner, the purple doors match the kitchen splashback. We designed and had made the wall unit with sliding cabinet doors to hide the TV when not in use. ultra-slim LED striplights provide the cabinet lighting. Photo - Style Within
