With significant internal wall remodelling, we removed an existing bedroom and utilised a lounge room to pave the way for a large open plan kitchen and dining area. We also removed an unwanted file storage room that backed onto the study and existing kitchen which allowed to the installation of a fully insulated temperature controlled cellar. A galley style kitchen was selected for the space and at the heart of the design is a large island bench that focuses on engagement and congregation and provides seating for 6. Acting as the activity hub of the kitchen, the island consists of split level benchtop which provides additional serving space for this family of avid entertainers. A standout feature is the large utility working wall that can be fully concealed when not in use and when open reveals not only a functional space but beautiful oak joinery and LED lit display shelving. The modern design of the kitchen is seen through the clean lines which are given an edge through the layering of materials resulting in a striking and rich palette. The all-black kitchen works well with the natural finishes and rawness of the timber finishes. The refined lines of the slimline Dekton benchtops complimented by the dark 2-pac and large format tiles make for a timeless scheme with an industrial edge. A fireplace was installed in the seating nook off the kitchen which was clad in rustic recycled timber, creating a textural element as well as bringing warmth and a sense of softness to the large space.

This kitchen is a wheelchair accessible kitchen designed by Adam Thomas of Design Matters. With acrylic doors and brushed steel handles for comfortable use. The worktops are height adjustable and have raised edges on all four sides to contain hot spills and reduce the risk of injury. The kitchen is packed with accessible storage such as wall cupboards that descend to worktop height, and this substantial pull-down basket which brings the contents of the cupboard within reach. A bulthaup b3 kitchen designed and installed by hobsons|choice and featured in the September issue of KBB Magazine in the UK. The bulthaup b3 glass wall panels include a functional rail element that provides the option for hanging elements such as the herb pots (pictured). Additional veneered panels, above and below, link the wall area to the bartop.

The term “industrial” evokes images of large factories with lots of machinery and moving parts. These cavernous, old brick buildings, built with steel and concrete are being rehabilitated into very desirable living spaces all over the country. Old manufacturing spaces have unique architectural elements that are often reclaimed and repurposed into what is now open residential living space. Exposed ductwork, concrete beams and columns, even the metal frame windows are considered desirable design elements that give a nod to the past. This unique loft space is a perfect example of the rustic industrial style. The exposed beams, brick walls, and visible ductwork speak to the building’s past. Add a modern kitchen in complementing materials and you have created casual sophistication in a grand space. Niché dans le 15e, ce joli 63 m² a été acheté par un couple de trentenaires. L’idée globale était de réaménager certaines pièces et travailler sur la luminosité de l’appartement. 1ère étape : repeindre tout l’appartement et vitrifier le parquet existant. Puis dans la cuisine : réaménagement total ! Nous avons personnalisé une cuisine Ikea avec des façades Bodarp gris vert. Le plan de travail en noyer donne une touche de chaleur et la crédence type zellige en blanc cassé (@parquet_carrelage) vient accentuer la singularité de la pièce. Nos équipes ont également entièrement refait la SDB : pose du terrazzo au sol, de la baignoire et sa petite verrière, des faïences, des meubles et de la vasque. Et vous voyez le petit meuble « buanderie » qui abrite la machine à laver ? Il s’agit d’une création maison ! Nous avons également créé d’autres rangement sur-mesure pour ce projet : les niches colorées de la cuisine, le meuble bas du séjour, la penderie et le meuble à chaussures du couloir. Ce dernier a une toute autre allure paré du papier peint Jungle Cole & Son ! Grâce à la verrière que nous avons posée, il devient visible depuis le salon. La verrière permet également de laisser passer la lumière du salon vers le couloir.
