After a not-so-great experience with a previous contractor, this homeowner came to Kraft Custom Construction in search of a better outcome. Not only was she wanting a more functional kitchen to enjoy cooking in, she also sought out a team with a clear process and great communication. Two elements of the original floorplan shaped the design of the new kitchen: a protruding pantry that blocked the flow from the front door into the main living space, and two large columns in the middle of the living room. Using a refined French-Country design aesthetic, we completed structural modifications to reframe the pantry, and integrated a new custom buffet cabinet to tie in the old columns with new wood ceiling beams. Other design solutions include more usable countertop space, a recessed spice cabinet, numerous drawer organizers, and updated appliances and finishes all around. This bright new kitchen is both comfortable yet elegant, and the perfect place to cook for the family or entertain a group of guests.

This beautiful kitchen showcases painted cabinets mixed with a white oak island topped with engineered marble. Glass cabinets lighten the upper cabinets and create an enclosed display area. Brushed brass hardware creates a warm contrast with the painted cabinets.

An open house lot is like a blank canvas. When Mathew first visited the wooded lot where this home would ultimately be built, the landscape spoke to him clearly. Standing with the homeowner, it took Mathew only twenty minutes to produce an initial color sketch that captured his vision - a long, circular driveway and a home with many gables set at a picturesque angle that complemented the contours of the lot perfectly. The interior was designed using a modern mix of architectural styles – a dash of craftsman combined with some colonial elements – to create a sophisticated yet truly comfortable home that would never look or feel ostentatious. Features include a bright, open study off the entry. This office space is flanked on two sides by walls of expansive windows and provides a view out to the driveway and the woods beyond. There is also a contemporary, two-story great room with a see-through fireplace. This space is the heart of the home and provides a gracious transition, through two sets of double French doors, to a four-season porch located in the landscape of the rear yard. Our Cambridge interior design studio gave a warm and welcoming feel to this converted loft featuring exposed-brick walls and wood ceilings and beams. Comfortable yet stylish furniture, metal accents, printed wallpaper, and an array of colorful rugs add a sumptuous, masculine vibe. --- Project designed by Boston interior design studio Dane Austin Design. A few tweaks to this already well built kitchen, refreshed the space and solidified the Arts & Craft theme carried throughout the space. A change to the pantry wall provided better and increased storage and countertop space and a new island created finely tuned symmetry to the layout. Combned with new cabinet hardware and modern chevron backsplash, the updated marble-look quartz countertops offer durability and a tailored sophisticated elegance.

Vintage architecture meets modern-day charm with this Mission Style home in the Del Ida Historic District, only two blocks from downtown Delray Beach. The exterior features intricate details such as the stucco coated adobe architecture, a clay barrel roof and a warm oak paver driveway. Once inside this 3,515 square foot home, the intricate design and detail are evident with dark wood floors, shaker style cabinetry, a Estatuario Silk Neolith countertop & waterfall edge island.
