This award-winning classic + transitional + retro kitchen remodel was part of multi-room home remodeling and interior design project. The clients wanted to include some mid-century modern elements, but didn't want the room to feel like a capsule space. We used classic slab door style kitchen cabinets in a cherry finish and a muted aqua color palette in the finishes and custom elements. Another goal was to create a space that would easily convert from small family meals to large holiday gatherings. To accommodate this request, we added a custom booth on the back of the peninsula, a large bar/buffet, a vintage teak table with butterfly leaves, and extra seating bench. To top it off, we added the glamorous gold leaf oversized pendant, which steals the show without being out of proportion to the space.

A Brookfield couple wanted to update their 20-year old kitchen. The goal was to open up the room so they could entertain friends and family. The old kitchen felt tight and was showing its wear. It had broken cabinets, outdated appliances, floral wallpaper, laminate countertops and vinyl flooring. Kowalske Kitchen & Bath designed a traditional kitchen with plenty of character and details – raised panel cherry cabinets, crown molding, quartz counters and a decorative backsplash above the stove. We brightened up the area by removing the soffits and added recessed lighting and pendants over the island. We gave them more storage and counter space by reconfiguring the layout and removing an old closet and an awkward peninsula. The end result is a smart, sophisticated kitchen!

Long lead times and delays are a new normal. At European Kitchen Center, we adapt our business to new standards. We carefully planned this project to avoid extensive periods without cooking. With our help, the client could source and purchase all necessary products. The demolition started when we had cabinetry and all other parts in our possession. As a result, quick installation, pleased client, and a stunning kitchen. The client has opted for a two-tone finish; white lacquer and stunning wood veneer. It features handle-less cabinetry, contemporary design, and the latest in modern kitchen gadgets. This 1950's kitchen hindered our client's cooking and bi-weekly entertaining and was inconsistent with the home's mid-century architecture. Additional key goals were to improve function for cooking and entertaining 6 to 12 people on a regular basis. Originally with only two entry points to the kitchen (from the entry/foyer and from the dining room) the kitchen wasn’t very open to the remainder of the home, or the living room at all. The door to the carport was never used and created a conflict with seating in the breakfast area. The new plans created larger openings to both rooms, and a third entry point directly into the living room. The “peninsula” manages the sight line between the kitchen and a large, brick fireplace while still creating an “island” effect in the kitchen and allowing seating on both sides. The television was also a “must have” utilizing it to watch cooking shows while prepping food, for news while getting ready for the day, and for background when entertaining. Meticulously designed cabinets provide ample storage and ergonomically friendly appliance placement. Cabinets were previously laid out into two L-shaped spaces. On the “top” was the cooking area with a narrow pantry (read: scarce storage) and a water heater in the corner. On the “bottom” was a single 36” refrigerator/freezer, and sink. A peninsula separated the kitchen and breakfast room, truncating the entire space. We have now a clearly defined cool storage space spanning 60” width (over 150% more storage) and have separated the ovens and cooking surface to spread out prep/clean zones. True pantry storage was added, and a massive “peninsula” keeps seating for up to 6 comfortably, while still expanding the kitchen and gaining storage. The newly designed, oversized peninsula provides plentiful space for prepping and entertaining. Walnut paneling wraps the room making the kitchen a stunning showpiece.

Another kitchen layout that began dysfunctional and ugly! A wall was removed and a hallway entrance relocated, to create a lovely open plan space. Nestled in redwoods, this kitchen features beautiful rustic wood and lots of upgrades (roll-outs, spice drawer, glass cabinets, wall message center, tray dividers and more)! Following the kitchen, the homeowner added a custom Record Cabinet, 2 bathrooms, laundry room and movie room in the same finish.

This playful kitchen is a nod in several directions of eras past; mid-mod, vintage and deco. The custom cabinets feature Walnut framed Oak doors and sleek black pulls. A neutral gray floor grounds the bright pops of clay tile and the Big Chill vintage style refrigerator.

Two-tier island design offers comfortable seating for the entire family with ample work space. Kitchen designer Maria Fortoul of Studio Snaidero Houston, in collaboration with Nina Magon from Contour Interior Design, created a fine balance to perfection in this beautiful modern house in Beaumont, Texas. This kitchen features a contemporary design, where custom Italian made Snaidero WAY cabinets in rich wood textured melamine are complemented by a striking light grey high gloss lacquered island, exquisite lighting and modern indigo blue chairs.

The owners of this waterfront condo were looking for a way to personalize and update their kitchen and add a wine bar! We updated the kitchen with new counters and a tile back splash and installed a custom built in wine bar in a complementary color to the kitchen. They selected Cambria's Ironsbridge for their counter and it is absolutely gorgeous! We installed a Kraus undermount Stainless Steel sink with a lowered divider and a Grohe Bridgeford faucet.
