This bulthaup b3E kitchen, bulthaup Mayfair, with aluminium flat fronts with recessed handles and a stainless steel worktop, sits on one wall of the open plan living & dining space in a family apartment. The integrated sink has been welded into the stainless steel worktop to give a fully seamless practical effect.

We completely gutted the old Galley and replaced it with Snaidero Time cabinets with aluminum alloy ergonomic handles and thin metal reveals for the bottom and glossy white for the upper cabinets. The counter is a Snaidero solid stainless steel with integrated sink. The floors are wenge with a stainless steel insert. The custom floating wenge wood stairs have a custom stainless handrail.

The ground floor is also entirely open concept, with carefully defined living spaces that unfold in sequence as you move deeper into the house. A continuous bank of millwork flows along the south wall of the whole floor, transforming from a kitchen, to a dining banquette, to a living room credenza and closet.

The kitchen and Dining areas are a popular gathering spot in most homes. A lot of entertaining is done in this room as family and friends gather in an area close to where meals and appetizers are being prepared. It also is a place where the family may meet at the end of the day to talk about the day’s events. There is no doubt about the fact that these spaces are where memories are made and shared on a regular basis. The colour of the earth beneath your feet, a cup of coffee in the morning, a dollop of honey on toast and a bar of caramel chocolate. The tiles bring warmth and contentment to the space.
