Our clients wanted to make the most of space so we gutted the home and rebuilt the inside to create a functional and kid-friendly home with timeless style. Our clients’ vision was clear: They wanted a warm and timeless design that was easy to clean and maintain with two-active boys. “It’s not unusual for our friends and family to drop past unannounced any day of the week. And we love it!” They told us during our initial Design Therapy Sesh. We knew immediately what she meant - we have an open-door policy with our families, too! Which was why we consciously created living spaces that were open, inviting and welcoming. Now, the only problem our clients would have would be convincing their guests to leave! Beautiful Butler's Pantry featuring Brookhaven cabinets in Oak with a Dove Grey finish. The design was built with the Colony door style and features a granite stone slab; verde vecchio. All wall cabinets are glass framed with interior lighting and glass shelves for glassware display. Cabinets go the ceiling with small top trim.

A unique and innovative design, combining the requirements of regular entertainers with busy family lives looking for style and drama in what was a compact space. The redesigned kitchen has space for sit-down meals, work zones for laptops on the large table, and encourages an open atmosphere allowing of lively conversation during food prep, meal times or when friends drop by. The new concept creates space by not only opening up the initial floor plan, but through the creative use of a two-tiered island benchtop, a stylish solution that further sets this kitchen apart. The upper work bench is crafted from Quantum Quartz Gris Fuma stone, utilizing man made stone’s practicality and durability, while the lower custom designed timber table showcases the beauty of Natural Calacatta Honed Marble.

This unique and functional kitchen gives a new meaning to the phrase “Kitchen is the heart of a home”. Here, kitchen is the center of all attention and a conversation piece at every party. Black glass cabinet fronts used in the design offer ease of maintenance, and the kaleidoscope stone countertops and backsplash contrast the cabinetry and always look clean. Color was very important to this Client and this kitchen is definitely not lacking life. Designed for a client who loves to entertain, the centerpiece is an artistic interpretation of a kitchen island. This monolithic sculpture raises out of the white marble floor and glows in this open concept kitchen. But this island isn’t just beautiful. It is also extremely practical. It is designed using two intercrossing parts creating two heights for different purposes. 36” high surface for prep work and 30” high surface for sit down dining. The height differences and location encourages use of the entire table top for preparations. Furthermore, storage cabinets are installed under part of this island closest to the working triangle. For a client who loves to cook, appliances were very important, and sub-zero and wolf appliances we used give them the best product available. Overhead energy efficient LED lighting was selected paying special attention to the lamp’s CRI to ensure proper color rendition of items below, especially important when working with meat. Under-cabinet task lighting offers illumination where it is most needed on the countertops. Glossy gray lacquer and smoky glass cabinets—with a striking marble backsplash and counter—fit snugly along one wall.
