Nouveau défi, nouveau projet : transformer un salon en cuisine. M.&Mme B souhaitaient réorganiser l’espace de vie du rez-de-chaussée tout en conservant l’esprit chaumière. Le salon devait donc déménager. Nous disposions d’un beau volume pour intégrer un maximum de rangements. Chaque élément a été disposé autour de l’imposant îlot central et son plan de travail stratifié décor ardoise. L’espace est lumineux, à la fois grâce à la lumière naturelle mais également grâce aux spots intégrés dans les meubles hauts. Une lumière qui se reflète aussi dans la crédence et la vitrine en verre. Et que dire de ce sublime luminaire au-dessus du bloc de cuisson ! L’association des teintes et des matières crée une belle harmonie dans cette nouvelle cuisine élégante et chaleureuse. Nobilia Kitchen in Angmering, West Sussex This kitchen design and installation is a recently rephotographed project that took place in Angmering, West Sussex. The design of this kitchen has been optimised to suit its location within the house and importantly the customer’s brief, which was to create a space that was social, spacious, homely and a sweeping link between the centre of the home and the garden. An impressive addition to this kitchen is the beautiful copper accents which represent a growing trend in kitchen design at the moment. Thanks to a number of impressive kitchen copper additions this theme is cleverly combined within kitchen appliances and design features. Kitchen Furniture The kitchen furniture used for this project is from one of our German supplier Nobilia’s most premium ranges: Lux. The Lux range is aptly named. Its composition utilises a quality lacquer which creates a flawless high-gloss finish and is extremely durable when usual kitchen use is inflicted. The gloss effect Lux range was chosen to reflect the client’s wish of a light kitchen space, with the gloss door fronts bouncing light around the room to create shimmering kitchen space. The two colour choices Satin Grey and Slate Grey combine perfectly with the use of copper accents, bringing balance to the space. A key feature of this kitchen space is the media area which has been highlighted and surrounded by luxurious glazed glass units and deep pan drawers for storage, which themselves have been upgraded throughout the kitchen to glass sided uprights for extra strength and style. Kitchen Appliances Along with kitchen furniture and cabinetry, careful selection of kitchen appliances were chosen for this kitchen not just to match the overall style but to match the necessary daily uses of the customer. The large bank of tall units houses not only cooking appliances, but integrated refrigeration and freezing appliances integrated seamlessly into the furniture. This bank features three ovens from cooking enthusiast inspired manufacturer Neff, in the form of two Slide&Hide single ovens and a Slide&Hide combination microwave oven. The fourth appliance in this appliance grid is a wine cabinet from manufacturer CDA which enables the powerful cooling of up to twenty-four Bordeaux wine bottles. On the longest run of units in this kitchen a Siemens IQ700 induction hob features in the unique stainless-steel finish, which is not only a stylish and in keeping appliance, it offers several innovative features like intuitive touchSlider operation, flexible induction zone cooking and fryingSensor technology. The most stylish appliance in this kitchen however, is undoubtedly the beautiful Elica Dolce cooker hood, which not only harnesses powerful extraction of cooking fumes but continues the classy copper theme further throughout this kitchen. Kitchen Features & Accessories To meet the brief of the customer this kitchen had to be functional, meaning clever storage solutions are included throughout this kitchen. An example of this is the pull-out Dispensa storage from Kesseböhmer which feature either side of the main bank of appliances and enable a small amount of space to harbour useful storage capacity. A Quooker flex boiling tap is used above a Blanco undermounted Silgranite sink which makes a safe boiling water supply accessible from the same faucet as usual cold and warm water. As part of the installation of this project our electrical team have installed copper pendant lighting centrally above the island, increasing the ability for this kitchen to work as a social space with touch flip plug sockets used in several places for easy access to power. Our Gas Safe registered team have also installed a full-height radiator which is shown in a contemporary grey shade matching the kitchen colour scheme. Nobilia Kitchen in Angmering, West Sussex This kitchen boasts so many desirable kitchen features in one space, with the design making the most of every inch of space to fit the initial brief of the customer. In Summer days the kitchen flows out to the large garden through expansive bi-fold doors which show the full beauty of this kitchen design and installation. Contemporary German Kitchen in Barns Green, West Sussex Explore this contemporary Fjord Blue & Satin Grey German Kitchen, complete with a matching utility and TV area. The Brief This client sought to transform their kitchen, utility, and dining area with a theme that could be replicated across the three areas of this room. Bold colours were favoured from initial project conversations, and modern conveniences were to be implemented into the design across all three areas. The project was to also include a small amount of structural work to create access into the utility area, as well as the installation of bi-fold doors towards the garden end of the room. Design Elements To achieve the bold aesthetic the client favoured the design utilises a relatively new Fjord Blue finish from German supplier Nobilia. This matt blue finish is contrasted with a glossy Satin Grey option, in a combination that has been deployed across all three areas of this room. The main kitchen utilises a similar layout to the previous, but with designer Alistair making the most of the space available and tailoring elements to the client’s requirements. The silky work surfaces are a Corian finish, an additional modern element to the design. The finish is Grey Onyx, and combines well with bold elements of this design, and the vibrant blue glass splashback colour. Several clever storage and space saving solutions have been incorporated into this design. One is a full-height pull-out pantry placed next to the client’s own American fridge-freezer, and another is the tambour unit which the client liked as a place to store small appliances and breakfast items. A number of appliances were required as part of this project with high-specification Neff models chosen. One of these is a Flexinduction hob which is installed beneath a built-in Neff extractor, integrated into wall units. A Neff Slide & Hide single oven and combination oven have also been installed, and another high-tech inclusion is a Quooker boiling water tap fitted above a sizeable double stainless steel sink. Special Inclusions To give the room the modern feel this client sought, designer Alistair has implemented a number of lighting options to illuminate and enhance the space. Downlights, handrail LED strip lights and plinth lighting have all been installed across the kitchen and matching utility area. The utility itself utilises the same theme as the kitchen and is equipped with plenty of useful storage space. Another great addition in the utility is a full-height CDA wine cabinet, which has capacity to store more than one-hundred wine bottles. The entrance to the utility was rethought as part of the project too. A pocket door was chosen to ensure that the utility did not feel too separated from the kitchen and dining areas, and our installation team installed this as part of the installation. Above the entrance to the utility downlights have been installed which shine upon glass splashback, an inventive piece of work by one of our installers on-site. Project Highlight The final area of this vast space is the TV area, which utilises the same Fjord Blue cabinetry, this time with Havana Oak accents. This area provides extra storage for the clients and is equipped with a built-in TV, positioned in front of their dining area to be used when dining or entertaining. The End Result This project is another that shines a light upon the exceptional results that can be achieved using our complete design and installation service. Esteem removed three existing internal walls to create this large open plan kitchen/dining/living space. We laid all-new hybrid flooring and installed a much larger kitchen for this family.

The scullery has a tall pantry with 3 drawers and then long expanses of bench and open shelving for storage.
