My standard corner with 28"-deep diagonal pullouts. This arrangement is built around 14" x 14" faces to increase the width of the pullouts and provides over twice the usable storage of lazy susans. The triangular shelves in the corner are quite accessible when the pullouts are extended. I've evolved this design to where the center pullout and adjacent shelves can be adjusted up or down. Birch Plywood Kitchen with exposed plywood edges and recessed J handles with stainless steel recessed kick-board with a floating plywood shelf that sits above a splash back of geometric tiles. Plants, decorative and kitchen accessories sit on the shelf. The movable plywood island has a stainless steel worktop and contains the oven and induction hob along with large pan drawers and smaller utensil drawers. The perimeter run of cabinets has a concrete worktop and houses the sink and tall integrated fridge/freezer and slimline full height larder with internal pull out drawers. The perimeter run of cabinets has a concrete worktop and houses the sink and tall integrated fridge/freezer and slimline full height larder with internal pull out drawers. The walls are painted in Dulux Noble Grey. The flooring is engineered oak in a grey finish. This project was developed in strong collaboration with the homes’ stylish owner, Sally Small, who engaged us to design a split-level home extension that could push the limits in terms of permissible built form controls and capitalise on every inch of available floor space. The alterations and additions have been designed to be both sympathetic to the owners’ strong interior aesthetic and the compact nature of the site, which was constrained by a 7.5 metre street frontage.
