We transformed this open-plan kitchen-diner into an industrial-inspired oasis by blending industrial and Scandinavian elements. Step into a sanctuary that dissolves the boundaries between indoors and out. With its vaulted ceilings, panoramic windows and beautifully crafted Tom Howley kitchen, this breathtaking extension has unequivocally become the soul of this historic Perthshire home. Clever storage solutions like the slim pantry and bi-fold drinks bar offer stylish storage and easy access to everyday items as well as your favourite beverages. The large kitchen island allows guests to relax and socialise while the host serves up delicious food. The vaulted ceiling provides a dramatic effect, while the large glass doors at either end of the space flood the room with natural light, making this kitchen the perfect place to relax at any time of day.

Helping our clients translate their dreams into reality inspires us to blend modern convenience with bright and fresh atmospheres that allow us to create a true hub of the home, just like this one for this Hertfordshire family. For versatile living, unwinding and creating family moments, the kitchen was chosen to be our handleless flat slab design in a galley layout with a large island in the middle. The modern touch it brings aligns perfectly with our vision. This open-plan space provides an ideal foundation for unique features and a bold two-tone colour palette. The blue ribbon found on Louis Vuitton packaging inspired our client’s choice of island colour. This is a beautiful statement piece amongst the ‘All White’ backdrop by Farrow & Ball. The blue and white colour approach is something we have found popular amongst our clients. Each kitchen design is different and unique to the client’s tastes. We do believe this is a timeless and beautiful colour combination. As you take a tour around this project you will see floor-to-ceiling units which add to the function of the space. One section is filled with a stunning bank of Siemens appliances. The black gloss finish adds to the modern touch. Opposite this is floor-and-wall cabinets separated by the Cimstone Britannica Quartz – which adds more storage and worktop space, providing a beautiful addition. We separated the sink zone but still created the ‘kitchen triangle’. This included a Quooker tap and Blanco Stainless Steel sink. The drinks cabinet adds to the space and expresses our beautiful cabinetry in all corners. It features pocket doors, integrated lighting, a mirrored backdrop, oak wine glass holders, a Caple wine cooler, an internal scalloped wine rack and matching quartz to the main kitchen. Attracted by our recent media wall in our showroom, the clients opted for a media unit in the living space. This spans across the whole wall which features push-to-open doors below, open shelving all around and hand-painted in All White by Farrow & Ball to tie in with the kitchen area. We worked with Lewcon Audio Visual on this whole project: All integrated cabinet lighting and room lighting are controlled via RAKO smart lighting system with wireless modular keypads in a satin chrome finish (This is both kitchen & living room) Also installed; 8inch Bose ceiling speakers with a Sonos amplifier for music (Kitchen & Living Room) Full control; iPad with with Launchport Docking Station for full control of all lighting & music.

Indigo shaker-style utility room with a raised washing machine and tall broom cupboard. Other features include a handy pull out drawer below the washing machine and a laundry rail above the calacatta quartz counter top. The large wall unit above the sink subtly houses lighting over the open shelves and stainless steel rails.

The goal for this Point Loma home was to transform it from the adorable beach bungalow it already was by expanding its footprint and giving it distinctive Craftsman characteristics while achieving a comfortable, modern aesthetic inside that perfectly caters to the active young family who lives here. By extending and reconfiguring the front portion of the home, we were able to not only add significant square footage, but create much needed usable space for a home office and comfortable family living room that flows directly into a large, open plan kitchen and dining area. A custom built-in entertainment center accented with shiplap is the focal point for the living room and the light color of the walls are perfect with the natural light that floods the space, courtesy of strategically placed windows and skylights. The kitchen was redone to feel modern and accommodate the homeowners busy lifestyle and love of entertaining. Beautiful white kitchen cabinetry sets the stage for a large island that packs a pop of color in a gorgeous teal hue. A Sub-Zero classic side by side refrigerator and Jenn-Air cooktop, steam oven, and wall oven provide the power in this kitchen while a white subway tile backsplash in a sophisticated herringbone pattern, gold pulls and stunning pendant lighting add the perfect design details. Another great addition to this project is the use of space to create separate wine and coffee bars on either side of the doorway. A large wine refrigerator is offset by beautiful natural wood floating shelves to store wine glasses and house a healthy Bourbon collection. The coffee bar is the perfect first top in the morning with a coffee maker and floating shelves to store coffee and cups. Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring was selected for use throughout the home, offering the warm feel of hardwood, with the benefits of being waterproof and nearly indestructible - two key factors with young kids! For the exterior of the home, it was important to capture classic Craftsman elements including the post and rock detail, wood siding, eves, and trimming around windows and doors. We think the porch is one of the cutest in San Diego and the custom wood door truly ties the look and feel of this beautiful home together.

Classic British Kitchen in Worthing, West Sussex A quintessential British kitchen was required for this newly built kitchen extension, complete with lavish inclusions and Kaelo wine cooler. The Brief With extension plans drawn-up and building underway at their property, these clients from the Heene area of Worthing required a new kitchen, designed to perfectly suit this newly created open plan space. The design had to be in keeping with the period features of this property and had to include modern conveniences to keep the kitchen current for many years to come. An island, larder storage and inclusions to aid entertaining were just some of the key desirables these clients had in mind. Design Elements Creating a great layout was imperative and designer Aron has conjured a design which incorporates all elements of the brief and suits the building work undertaken at the property. The design leads from the entrance of the kitchen around to the newly created dining area, making the most of natural light from skylights and expansive bi-fold doors at the rear of the property. The layout places full height cabinetry at the entrance to the kitchen, with opposing runs of base and wall units leading to the sunny rear extension of the property. Aron has created an area with built-in wine bottle storage and a wine cooler which is perfect for when entertaining, as is the long island space which is equipped with seating for four. The design utilises a two-tone shaker-style theme combining a Light Grey finish used for perimeter cabinetry with a Graphite finish used solely for the island. This furniture is from our British manufacturer and utilises a matching finish for all internal cabinetry. Gold elements have been used as an accent in this space with the finish used across handleware and doorknobs, as well as a number of the client’s own decorative items. The gold finish teams well with the quartz work surfaces, which have been chosen in a contemporary white finish with natural veining. Special Inclusions Plenty of special inclusions have been catered for within this design, and one of the most functional is the full-height larder that has been installed close to the kitchen entrance. Not only is the larder equipped with seven shelves for food storage and an overhead downlight, but sockets have also been installed into the cabinetry so small appliances can be tucked away and used within the larder. Adjacent to the larder a full-height Neff refrigerator and freezer have been built-in to furniture to keep all foods in one area of the kitchen. The client’s own Rangemaster has been used within the design, and above a built-in extractor has been integrated into furniture. Additions like the Quooker boiling tap add function to this space, as does the CDA wine cabinet particularly when entertaining. Antique glass patterned splashbacks have been installed above the range and by the drinks area, and each are highlighted further by the use of undercabinet downlights installed beneath wall units. Other lighting options like downlights and pendant lighting over the island have also been installed as part of this project. Decorative areas have been incorporated into the design to ensure a homely feel can be achieved. Glass fronted cabinetry has been used around the drinks area and at the end of the island an exposed end unit has been chosen. Above the sink area space has been made for the client’s own feature shelving. Project Highlight Upon the island space a unique Kaelo wine cooler has been installed, making entertaining or celebrating with a bottle of wine even easier. It’s been chosen in a brass brushed finish to match accents in this design, and nicely matches the client’s own decorations upon the island. The End Result This project required a perfect design to suit this newly created extension and to bring the client’s vision for their new open plan kitchen to life. Thanks to a great design from Aron and the quality workmanship of our installation team, this client now has a kitchen to suit their property installed to an exceptional level of finish.
