Diana Wiesner of Lampert Lumber in Chetek, WI worked with her client and Dura Supreme to create this custom teal blue paint color for their new kitchen. They wanted a contemporary cottage styled kitchen with blue cabinets to contrast their love of blue, red, and yellow. The homeowners can now come home to a stunning teal (aqua) blue kitchen that grabs center stage in this contemporary home with cottage details. Bria Cabinetry by Dura Supreme with an affordable Personal Paint Match finish to "Calypso" SW 6950 in the Craftsman Beaded Panel door style. This kitchen was featured in HGTV Magazine summer of 2014 in the Kitchen Chronicles. Here's a quote from the designer's interview that was featured in the issue. "Every time you enter this kitchen, it's like walking into a Caribbean vacation. It's upbeat and tropical, and it can be paired with equally vivid reds and greens. I was worried the homeowners might get blue fatigue, and it's definitely a gutsy choice for a rural Wisconsin home. This featured project was designed, manufactured and installed by Kitchen Envy, and involves a kitchen, tv unit, bedroom robe, and laundry. This project is an example of a Scandinavian design. Scandinavian kitchen designs are a soft natural pallet, predominately white in tone, with suggestions of soft timbers for a warm and inviting finish.

Creating this light, open inviting kitchen required a complete overhaul of the dark and enclosed feeling original space. we removed walls, bulkheads, added new walls to achieve an open area which nonetheless has a large walk-in pantry behind the oven/fridge. Beth likes Bali style interiors which we took as a cue for the colour/material/ finish choices. Solid tasmanian timber island bench top and floating shelving, sealed in Kunos from Livos gives a warm honey stain finish which is completely plant based. Chalk finish boards coupled with absolute matt cabinetry complements well. We also organised new floors where required (note the colour difference) which since has been all sanded back and "invisible" finished. to keep the vista unencumbered we also installed a recessed cassette range hood

Before this renovation the kitchen was tucked in behind a wall with only one entry from the dining room. Needing to keep an eye on two young children made opening the space up to the living room & dining room a priority. A large structural beam was placed to support the second floor & this once pokey small kitchen became the centre piece of the home. The large breakfast was a much appreciated addition to the kitchen allowing the children to do homework while mum has loads of space to prepare meals.

Great storage above for cooking oils & spices with space on the bench to fit small appliances like the blender & kettle. With a power point inside the cabinet its easy to slide the appliance out use it & then hide it away for that sleek minimalist look.

This Hudson Square 3 Bedroom/2.5 Bath was built new in 2006 and was in dire need of an uplift. The project included new solid maple flooring, new kitchen, bathrooms, built-in's, custom lighting, and custom mill work storage built-ins and vanities throughout.
