The homeowners wanted to take advantage of induction cooking, but were hesitant because of their unfamiliarity. I suggested reducing their cooktop from 36” to 30” and adding a 15” gas cooktop. The catering kitchen was completely transformed by removing the 'mudroom' area to create room for a large prep, storage, and cooking areas. The new space is hosts a custom Cremone-bolted dish cabinet, wine cooler, and double panel fridge /freezer. It has a large farmhouse sink and plenty of storage for prepping for large catering events and parties.

Island blues! We love the navy blue island and family room cabinetry in the newly remodeled kitchen and family room. The wall separating the kitchen and family room was removed creating space for a large oversized island with seating for six The shaker cabinets around the perimeter of the kitchen are painted taupe. Brass cabinet hardware and lighting are mixed expertly with stainless steel appliances. White engineered quartz countertops look beautiful and most importantly, they are extremely durable. In collaboration with Darcy Tsung Design, we took a small, cramped kitchen and created an open layout for entertaining. The owner is an accomplished chef who wanted a purpose-built kitchen to house all of her specialty items, including pullouts for a Kitchen Aid mixer, a coffee station, and cabinet inserts for knives, spices, and cutting boards. Our traditional, yet still up to date, design was influenced by the owner's antique heirloom dining table and chairs. We seamlessly incorporated that much beloved set of furniture, and gave a prominent place for the owner's colorful artwork.

The traditional allure of this kitchen design in Tustin permeates every aspect of the space, from the dark wood beaded inset cabinetry to the Archive Design custom hood. As the hub of activity in the home, a kitchen sets the tone for your home style, and this kitchen remodel was designed to be a style icon. The deep, rich tones of the Bentwood Luxury Kitchens cabinetry include dark wood finish perimeter cabinets and a black finish island. An undercabinet wine refrigerator, wine storage area with backlit LED lighting, and custom tiles with embossed wine tags are a perfect addition for a wine connoisseur’s kitchen design. The custom bar offers a unique feature for this sociable space, including a backlit bar sink and LED lighting under the featured Grey Goose vodka bottles. The fireplace has a water feature and a custom wrought iron fireplace gate. Texture and color play a significant role in this kitchen design. The Archive Design custom hood is a hammered copper embossed metal hood and adds a stunning focal point to the design. Candle niches with hammered copper backs complement the custom hood, and the Ledger stone walls add depth to the style of the space. The wine storage includes a custom wrought iron gate that pairs perfectly with the surrounding stone and wood tones and adds a one-of-a-kind appeal to the kitchen design. In this spacious, light-filled kitchen, creamy off-white outer cabinets contrast with an unexpected blue island. These colors are echoed in the blue and white tile backsplash, handcrafted in Morocco with an ever-so-slightly iridescent sheen. Since the cabinetry itself is fairly traditional, we chose wrought iron pendants and hardware that had traditional shapes, but were not overly ornate, which kept the room feeling light and fresh.
