What comes to mind when you envision the perfect multi-faceted living spaces? Is it an expansive amount of counter space at which to cook, work, or entertain freely? Abundant and practical cabinet organization to keep clutter at bay and the space looking beautiful? Or perhaps the answer is all of the above, along with a cosy spot to retreat after the long day is complete. The project we are sharing with you here has each of these elements in spades: spaces that combine beauty with function, promote comfort and relaxation, and make time at home enjoyable for this active family of three. Our main focus was to remodel the kitchen, where we hoped to create a functional layout for everyday use. Our clients also hoped to incorporate a home office right into the kitchen itself. However, the clients realized that renovation the kitchen alone wouldn’t create the full transformation they were looking for. Kitchens interact intimately with their adjacent spaces, especially family rooms, and we were determined to elevate their daily living experience from top to bottom. We redesigned the kitchen and living area to increase work surfaces and storage solutions, create comfortable and luxurious spaces to unwind, and update the overall aesthetic to fit their more modern, collected taste. Here’s how it turned out…

An already beautifully appointed home just needed a face lift in the tired kitchen to bring it up to par with the rest of the house. The clients originally considered refacing their existing kitchen cabinets, but then decided on a full remodel. The cabinets installed in the kitchen are Medallion Devonshire Door Style, Flat Center Panel, Painted White Chocolate. Hardware is Top Knobs 1 1/8” and 8 cc Appliance Pulls. The countertop is Giallo Traversella Granite 1/2” Round with 4” Backsplash on the Refrigerator and Garage walls. The backsplash is Petal Mosiac in the Foundation Color. A Blanco Diamond Silgranite sink in Truffle color and Moen Arbor Pullout Faucet in Chrome finish.

This is our Gin & Tonic kitchen. We added casual seating around the island to create an ideal place to relax with a drink at the end of a long day. The island doubles as a preparation area, so you can effortlessly talk about your day whilst preparing dinner. The adjacent wall has media furniture to provide more storage and a place to display your favourite things. We made it a feature wall using the beautiful Tori Teal wallpaper from Graham & Brown and the quirky Flamingo table lamp is from Graham & Green (we considered calling this the Graham kitchen, but it didn’t have quite the same ring to it). The handleless slab doors are a beautiful matte finish called Crystal, which is a neutral off-white, the perfect blank canvas for personalisation. This door style is incredibly versatile, it can be ultra modern and minimalist or more characterful by combining different colours and textures. Our Classic take on the look pairs contemporary German style with timeless British elegance. The kitchen is from Pronorm, our German kitchen supplier, but we’ve painted the walls in Oval Room Blue by Farrow & Ball to add a regal gracefulness. The wall cupboard doors are concrete, which we matched with concrete pendant lights and accessories to keep the style modern and on trend. The addition of oak for the open display units and bookcase adds character and texture to the space. The floor is Storm Oak Parquet from Karndean. The ashy grey tones are ultra modern with the authentic look and feel of a traditional parquet but without the upkeep of natural wood. The G&T kitchen is on display at our Edgbaston showroom. One of our favorite details! A drawer-within-a-drawer. Especially handy when you've got little kids, this helps keep knives and other sharp kitchen utensils away (or at least harder to access). A home with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean needed a beautiful update on the inside to match it. Wide plank light wood floors compliment the sandy tones of the textured foil kitchen cabinetry. Clean white countertops and white satin foil tall cabinets along the back wall and laundry space contrast the warm tones throughout the rest of the space. Textured glass, toekick lighting, and elongated glass tiles give the space a luxe modern edge. A built in dining nook and wood stained wet bar in the adjacent areas inform the rest of the finish updates throughout the home.

On retrouve la couleur sous diverses formes que ce soit en peinture pour mettre en lumière une bibliothèque sur-mesure ou en papier peint végétal pour donner vie à un couloir. Autre point apprécié : la cuisine sobre, blanche et pourtant avec un certain cachet. Son petit plus ? Le banc en bois unique pour rêver de recettes à la fenêtre.

This open concept remodel is the home to new Rustic Hickory kitchen cabinets from Dura Supreme Cabinetry shown in the Morel stained finish. A bar area is tucked behind a stunning weathered bar door, opening up to reveal beautiful Classic White cabinets with open shelves for decoratively displaying a collection of dishware. The seating at the peninsula of this rustic hickory kitchen gives a graceful nod towards nature. The branches in the seat mirror the other organic elements in this design and the landscape that surround this home.
