This stunning project in Cultra, County Down marries both form and function in one beautiful open plan space. Although it may look minimalist, this is a family home that has all the usual paraphernalia which is cleverly hidden with practical storage solutions. The project, in collaboration with J'Adore Decor uses beautiful cross-grained wedge doors, hardwood flooring and luxurious Silestone work surfaces.

This kitchen has been designed by George Harvey from our Horsham showroom and installed by our kitchen installation team in the local Horsham area. This kitchen has been designed to utilise the space and light made be an existing conservatory to the rear of the kitchen which it does fantastically. The kitchen furniture used for this project is from Nobilia, a German kitchen manufacturer that offers an extensive range of modern, shaker and traditional kitchens. The German Nobilia furniture used for this kitchen is from the Touch range which is a matt effect range. The Super-Matt effect of this door means that is silky to touch while the lacquered laminate coating means that it is highly resistant to fingerprint marks and scratching. The touch range is one of our most popular ranges due to its texture, vast range of colours and ability to contrast with a secondary colour or stand alone as a single tone like in this kitchen. To make the most of the conservatory area in this kitchen George has used a peninsula island to create a dining and entertaining area in the lighter area of the room. In the same area exposed shelving is used as a place to store decorative items. Two exposed shelving units have also been used under the beam in this kitchen to make extra storage space again for either decorative items or kitchen essentials. This kitchen also uses the popular Nobilia 350 handle which is fitted to the top or bottom of a drawer or cupboard for sleek and easy access to units.

Garden extension with high ceiling heights as part of the whole house refurbishment project. Extensions and a full refurbishment to a semi-detached house in East London.

We removed several walls on the ground floor of the property to create an open plan living space with breakfast bar. Herringbone wood flooring adds to the luxury along with these gorgeous ceramic wall tiles for the kitchen splashback. We changed the boiler and electrics, installed a sprinkler system for fire safety to comply with the council regulations. We also renovated the shower room and removed the mouldy ceiling.

Following a vast extension, this Angmering property required a sizeable kitchen rethink and design, with plenty of luxury inclusions. The Brief A complete rear extension was undertaken at this property by local contractor Cloud9, leaving Managing Director Phil with the task of conjuring a new layout and theme for these Angmering clients. Preference for a natural theme was clear, but modern elements were required to suit the property and for everyday ease of use. Design Elements From a blank canvas, Phil has created a layout and theme to tick all the boxes on this client’s list. The natural aspect of the brief has been achieved through a combination of stone and wood furniture from German supplier Nobilia. The Concrete Grey and Havana Oak finishes from the Riva and Structura are used in handleless form, adding an ultramodern element to the design. A lengthy island looks out centrally to the garden space and has an attached breakfast bar area for perching. The kitchen is broken into two main runs, the first of which houses plenty of storage, a hob, and an extractor. The second run is full-height and adds decorative storage space to the kitchen as well as housing the ovens, a refrigerator and freezer. A coffee and small appliance area features next to the doorway, and then adjacent to this is a run dedicated to alcoholic tipples with a wine cabinet to precisely chill drinks. Special Inclusions For cooking and general use, the kitchen is equipped with a range of quality Neff appliances, a Quooker boiling tap, and an aforementioned wine cabinet. A Neff Slide & Hide single oven, Neff combination oven and Neff warming drawer are built-into furniture, with a full-height Neff refrigerator and Neff freezer integrated behind Concrete Grey doors. A Neff flexInduction Hob and black glass extractor hood have been placed on the next run and are briefly interrupted by a multicoloured vintage tile splashback. The Quooker boiling water tap is placed on the island and sits above a Blanco under-mounted sink in a complimenting Alumetallic colour that also teams well with the Airy Concrete quartz work surfaces. Project Highlight The drinks area in this project is a great highlight and is a perfect addition for those who like to entertain, or even for a quick catch-up at the breakfast bar area. A wine cabinet completes this space, which utilises an alternate wooden work surface as an accent. Handrail lighting enhances this space with ambient lighting. The End Result This project is a great example of a kitchen designed completely for purpose. With a blank canvas, designer Phil has created a well-thought-out space that incorporates all the individual areas this client required, as well as great theme to suit this property. The clients initial enquiry included a remodel and refurbish of the kitchen. The customer was really driven by having an eclectic look within her space. We worked closely with the customer to propose some very unique tile options. This project ended up including multiple areas of bespoke carpentry, under the stairs, a first floor closet & master Bedroom. The ground floor had renovations to the existing floors, sanded and treated. The ground floor was fully decorated, new radiators & lighting, custom made from Etsy. We worked alongside Wren Kitchens to create our clients gorgeous blue kitchen and large feature island. The tiles shown were directly imported from customs, from Spain to create the unique design, you will see pictured. We created colour charts and renders to help the client visualise her space before picking the final tiles. We discussed many layouts to create the feature wall you will see pictured.

Walnut walls and cabinets have a dark matte texture with perfect book-matched grain thanks to an oil finish and precision craftsmanship. The black kitchen with matte black Cambria countertops and Brizzo fixtures feels cool and clean.

Ceramic is a material that has existed for millennia, only now are we able to utilise its unique abundance of properties in a kitchen environment. Firm, resonant, with exceptional resistance to chemical, scratch and thermal shock. Also chromatically resistant and impervious to UV rays, so the finish cannot fade. This stunning contemporary kitchen incorporates the simplicity of the ceramic materials and avant-garde design. Here you can see the island doors and worktop featuring the Iron Grey finish. The left hand housing units, floating wall units and tiling all utilise the Ash finish. The wall units and island plinth are shown in the Basalt Grey finish. The ceramic material allows for highly versatile design, whilst not losing its inherent simplicity. Our island and base unit fascias use an incorporated handle. The wall units feature the slab design to enhance the visual effect. End panels use plant on ends to create a minimal, cube like styling.
