This ergonomic desk raises at the push of a button to a preset height for when my client wants to continue working, but no longer wants to be seated. The extra-long cables and cords roll up inside the custom covers that hide the metal legs when the desk is in the lowered position. The cabinet fronts are decorative metal with brown speaker mesh to limit dust and provide ventilation. There are temperature controlled sensors inside the cabinets that suck air out of the exterior of the building when it reaches 75 degrees inside the cabinets to prevent the computer equipment from overheating.

In another part of the house, a seldom used study was given a new lease of life with graphic wallpaper and a gold frame around a favourite print. Smart dark green painted cabinetry with polished desktop contrast nicely with textured wool carpet on the floor. Now given the No Chintz treatment, this is now a well used and enjoyed work space.

This studio area is finished above the garage. There's plenty of room for desks and bookcases and sunlight coming in from several directions.

TASK Our international client has asked us to design a 3k sq ft turnkey residence at Jade Signature. The unit on the 50th floor affords spectacular views and a stunning 800 sq ft balcony that increases the total living space. SCOPE Britto Charette is responsible for all aspects of designing the 3-bedroom, 5-bathroom residence that is expected to be completed by the end of September 2017. Our design features custom built-ins, headboards, bedroom sets, and furnishings. HIGHLIGHTS We are especially fond of the sculptural Zaha Hadid sofa by B&b Italia.
