Dekton Surfaces - We supplied and fabricated the Dekton surfaces for this bespoke kitchen by Richard Burke Design. The look is classic and sympathetic to the era of the dwelling. Blending in with the timeless colour scheme (Little Greene Celestial Blue with Hick’s Blue on the island), the extremely resilient Dekton surfaces were selected to meet the needs of this working kitchen. This view shows how I recessed the oven cabinet and the fridge. Originally this kitchen had a pantry closet and a fridge in the corner, where the coffee machine is. ..that did not provide room for double ovens. Behind the fridge wall is a bedroom that allowed me to bump the kitchen wall into the bedroom, gaining floor space in the kitchen and more counter space. Using a counter depth fridge avoided the bump out into the bedroom from being too deep. I painted the wall same color as the Bracing Blue cabinets I also had a collection of finger vases that I wanted to display. This was a perfect area, as the white works well with the white marble counter top.

У данной кухни, помимо цветового, еще очень интересное планировочное решение. Это довольно необычная буква «П» — развернутая одно стороной к окну. Так что часть столешницы с мойкой располагается непосредственно перед окном. Для тех, кто не очень любит мыть посуду и резать овощи, довольно приятным стимулом будет одновременное наблюдение природы за окном. Кстати, такой прием – рабочие поверхности, объединенные с подоконником – почти повсеместно используется в Скандинавии. Помимо вдохновения красивым видом во время приготовления еды, это еще и энергосбережение – рабочая поверхность гораздо лучше освещена, не так часто надо включать подсветку, у скандинавов все продумано. Смеситель в мойке также стилизован под «деревенскую старину». Один самых красивых элементов модели «Валерия» — подвесные шкафчики с открытыми полочками внизу, на характерных резных декоративных кронштейнах. В данной модели подвесные шкафы подсвечиваются коваными светильниками, чтобы попадание в стиль было стопроцентным. Идеально продумана открытая сушилка для посуды – частые деревянные рейки выглядят одновременно незамысловато и стильно и являются удобными опорами для тарелок. Полочки для специй располагаются прямо над жарочной поверхностью, что тоже крайне удобно. В деревенских домах зачастую все бывает гораздо продуманнее и рациональнее, чем даже в современных «хайтековских» кухнях, хотя здесь и не уместно мудреное слово «эргономика. Скорее, житейский смысл и опыт поколений, которыми дышит данная модель кухни.

Faucets and cabinet hardware are by Waterstone in their "Classic Bronze" finish. Countertops are "Iconic White" Silestone topped with a Thassos marble mosaic backsplash. Trim & Shiplap were sourced from WindsorOne. Flooring by Homerwood in “Hickory Graphite”.

This farmhouse style home was already lovely and inviting. We just added some finishing touches in the kitchen and expanded and enhanced the basement. In the kitchen we enlarged the center island so that it is now five-feet-wide. We rebuilt the sides, added the cross-back, “x”, design to each end and installed new fixtures. We also installed new counters and painted all the cabinetry. Already the center of the home’s everyday living and entertaining, there’s now even more space for gathering. We expanded the already finished basement to include a main room with kitchenet, a multi-purpose/guestroom with a murphy bed, full bathroom, and a home theatre. The COREtec vinyl flooring is waterproof and strong enough to take the beating of everyday use. In the main room, the ship lap walls and farmhouse lantern lighting coordinates beautifully with the vintage farmhouse tuxedo bathroom. Who needs to go out to the movies with a home theatre like this one? With tiered seating for six, featuring reclining chair on platforms, tray ceiling lighting and theatre sconces, this is the perfect spot for family movie night!
