This foyer was the greeting to a luxury condo which was the home to a family of 4 as well as a place to entertain business associates. Our client requeted timeless design with Asian antiques and contemporary art. WE worked together from the construction of 2 condo units into one home. Extensive mill work maximized storage.This beautiful chandelier was imported from France. Kaskel

A view from the sunken living room back to the foyer. A decorative artist was commissioned to paint the rhythmically patterned wall, and painted frieze around the circular skylight. Authentic Josef Hoffmann table and chairs form a welcoming vignette.

A large scaled foyer with an elegant marble floor sets the tone and color scheme for the public spaces of the apartment. Two diagonally opposed curved walls form the foyer's rotunda-shape and introduce the theme of diagonal movement which leads one to the living room. To either side of the foyer are the doorways to the bedrooms on one side and the kitchen on the other.

This inner city, heritage home front entry overlooks the city. Expansive windows original to the entry, Crema Marfil and Nero Marquina mosaic marble tile floors nod to the age and character of the home. The red walls, gold glazed ceiling, McGuire bench, antique chest, side tables and bronze Buddah head make this spacious entry warm and welcoming. Photographer: Michael Conner
