The panels are made of either plywood or Masonite. They contain foam padding and are fabric wrapped. The installation is a combination of glue and a nail gun.

The room is beautiful and I love the use of textures and the calmness of it all. You often see paneling behind the bed encompassing the entire wall. You chose to more or less leave a boarder around it. Trying to learn, what made you go that direction vs. paneling to the ceiling? As one who looks for easy way out and DIYer I would do it for simplicity sake.
