Help! Pillar in kitchen/orangery

昨年

We've recently extended our kitchen to add a snall orangery with dining area but we had to keep this pillar in place. It's just this thick bare thing stuck in the middle of the room and I'm not sure what to do with it. Any ideas on decor?
Was thinking shelves but they'd make it look bigger?

Hi Ksenia,

I dont think it would look bigger if you add something, but if you add a suspended element it mat disguise the column a little. Some suspended shelves like the ones in the picture can help taking the focus out off

the column.

Mirrors, maybe be in an antique finish would help the column. It could also work very nicely with the mirrors and the above shelving idea from North South Design Studio

I don’t think it’s that in your face. It looks in keeping with the room. You could add a tall plant or a nice piece of art.
