I am wanting to cover a very yellow/gold limestone and my stone guy made a 3'x3' sample of a schmear technique. Was looking to see it on a larger scale. Looks like this could be the same.
I am not sure what your mason means by a "schmere", but the limestone here has a mortar wash.
