Rain Chains are generally more decorative in nature. In a heavy rain, water will overwhelm the chain and land in the enlarged gravel catch basin below. The basin is oversized, 2ftx2ft to accommodate this. For the roof moisture that is generated by the coastal fog at this site, the chain works perfectly!
