We don't recommend using steam. It will shrink the wool. Use Tepid water in the cleaner. This rug is made from 100% wool and is naturally stain resistant. It is very resilient and works well in traffic. You can also use "Resolve" foam cleaner. It works well on flokati. Spray it on--brush into rug if needed--let it dry-Vacuum or brush out. Its a quick and easy fix.
