Vertical Panelling - Texture

Could I ask if the paneling is created along the same construction as floating shelves? I will be in the process of changing my 11yr old son's bedroom soon.. He is autistic and I think this would be a fantastic sensory option for him behind his bed or to the side wall. Any info would be much appreciated.. Beautiful apartment by the way.. great job.

Hello and thanks for the compliments, the panels are fixed to battens which space them off the wall by 50mm and create space top and bottom for LED strip... the battens run horizontally at 500mm centres , the vertical strips were added afterwards. In your case the panels could be premade with the vertical and hung on gravity battens. Many options here and happy to advise.
