Our flokati rugs are 100% wool (sheep's wool). They are hand made from Greece. You can vacuum this rug. Spot clean with a mild detergent (dish-washing liquid) and warm water. Most spills (even red wine) come out with a damp cloth. Occasionally- shake the rug. You can do a corner at a time.. this will fluff up the pile and free any debris - then vacuum around the rug. Lastly- use a regular plastic stiff bristle hair brush to lift any flat spots or to make the wool go a certain direction.. Overall - this rug wears very well.
