Yes, these are under-cabinet lights. They are usually mounted in back of the valance at the front bottom of the upper cabinets. These were pre-LED under-cabinet nights, which means they are a little "spotty"--meaning they made pools of light rather than look more uniform. The new solid-material-embedded LEDs cast light more as a glow than a spot.
