This image is printed on canvas and then mounted on a "frameless" canvas mount. Similar to a traditional painting which can be hung directly on the wall without a frame or it can be dropped in to a more traditional wood frame. With regard to this particular item, the canvas and image fully wraps the sides of the frame/mount so essentially the edges of the piece are a mirror image of the main image.
