I have a dinning room table that is 99"x32". I would like to hand two drum pendants over the table. For that size table what size pendants would you suggest and how far apart should they hang and how low?
Hi Denise! Our guide How to Get the Right Size Lighting has advice that can help you. You'll actually find good tips for your long table and for hanging two pendants over it in the Chandeliers section. Let me know if you have further questions!
Check out residentallighting.com, "Ask Randell" has a great column, he answers all kinds of lighting question. As far as size, two would be desired. Proper height over the table should be 30-36" from the top of table to the underside of fixture. Spacing, divide table into fourths and see what looks right. Maybe 5 foot inbetween fixtures, draw to scale to visualize. The best way to light a dining table to provide sufficient light to eat under is to add some Low Voltage recessed cans above the table also. Hope this helps you.
